a note to myself now to you last year in early April was one of the darkest times I could have ever imagined. I’ve had my ebs and flows of defeat but this time it was different, my vision was narrow and the only end of it being in sight was taking matter into my own hands. I don’t really know how I came out of it. I don’t really know if I’ve fully accepted how scary this time was. but I made it. I’m here. and this is what I wrote to myself after the fact. reading it out loud hits harder for me and reminds me I’m stronger than what is out of my control. it’ll be okay. everything will always in some capacity be okay. I just have to welcome it. I had dropped my second collection “Endless Love Club” shortly before this, and it wrecks me today that I was creating things that I couldn’t even believe in for myself. losing sight of my worth is what let this brand die for a year. this brand has saved me in more ways than I could have imagined, even if it’s literally just brain dumping on the internet and putting it on a shirt. this is healing. this isn’t for anyone else but myself and that fucking rocks. if others find themselves in the stuff I create too, then I guess I’m doing something right. and if it wasn’t clear: you matter. always, always, always. and so do I.

“Skyfall” comes from one of the hardest years of my life. I lost my mom who was my constant and lost a person I love to the moon and back— it shook me to my core. The song starts with everything I used to dream about: celebration of love, family, the excitement of life when it feels limitless. But then it shifts. “Skyfall” is my way of saying that when everything collapses at once, it feels like falling out of the sky with no way to stop it. This song is both living fearlessly to keep chasing the highs but also about the strength we find in facing the fall. “The Stars look pretty when the Skyfalls” & it’s yours to listen to now 🖤
