It had been a dream of mine to photograph Mount Fuji like this.

When I planned a surprise birthday trip to Japan for my wife, I quietly added one more goal to the itinerary: chase this shot.

I waited all day, hoping the clouds would clear.

By 9:30 PM, with the light fading, I made one last decision—I spent $60 on a taxi to Oishi Park for one final chance.

A few minutes later, Mount Fuji revealed itself.

My wife asked me, “Was it worth it?”

I’d take that taxi again in a heartbeat. 🗻❤️

Have you ever gone out of your way for a photo you’ll never forget?

Every photographer has a moment where something clicks.

Not because they bought better gear.
Not because someone told them they were good.

They just start seeing the world differently.

This was one of those moments for me.

Swipe to the end.

Everyone starts somewhere.

The goal isn’t to create like someone else.

It’s to create like you.

Share this with someone who needs this today. ❤️

POV:

You ask for the RAWs...

...then realize the edit was doing a LOT of heavy lifting. 😂

For years, Los Angeles was just a skyline in movies.

This time, it was in front of my camera. 🎬

Some places leave an impression
long after the coffee is gone.

Vanessa’s is one of them.

Thoughtful details, welcoming people, and a space that feels as good as it looks. Thanks for having us—it was a pleasure capturing a few moments from our visit.

Some moments don’t need words.

Just a camera…
and perfect timing. 📸🇺🇸

As filmmakers, we’re always chasing the next shot.
Every once in a while... it’s worth putting the camera second.
I got so caught up living in the moment, that I forgot what I was trying to capture.

Thankfully, I still came home with a few memories. 🇯🇵🎥

This one is close to my heart.

10 years.

10 lessons.

A lot can change in a decade.

Grateful for every person who was part of the journey. ❤️
