Help us wish Justin a very Happy Birthday! 🎉

If you know Solimine Contracting, chances are you’ve seen Justin wearing more than a few hats around here. From sales and marketing to photography, creative ideas, and everything in between, he brings energy, ambition, and a fresh perspective to the family business.

Being around construction and design his whole life, Justin definitely created a style and path of his own. He sets high goals for himself both personally and professionally and is always looking for the next opportunity to learn, grow, and experience something new.

When he’s not working, Justin loves staying active, cooking and traveling; embracing different cultures— which may have something to do with the fact that he has quite the design eye himself. 😉✈️

Justin, we're incredibly excited to have your strong passion and goal driven energy in our family business. You completed our family 25 years ago and now joining the family business is truly a blessing - having our entire family being a part of something that makes a difference in helping transform people's lives .

Happy Birthday, Justin! Here’s to another year of dreaming big, working hard, traveling often, and enjoying the journey. 🥰🥳

We love you!

Pinterest is great for inspiration. But it doesn’t always show you what it takes to create the finished space. ✨

The beautiful kitchen.
The perfectly styled shelves.
The gorgeous lighting.
The bright white tile.

What you don’t always see are the decisions behind those photos.

The details that look beautiful also need to work for the way you actually live.

Open shelving? Beautiful—but it needs styling and upkeep.
White grout? Timeless—but maintenance matters.
Statement lighting? Gorgeous—but the right lighting plan can completely change how a room feels.
That perfect kitchen? It takes thoughtful planning, budgeting, selections and coordination to bring it all together.

At Solimine Contracting, we believe a successful remodel should be more than Pinterest-worthy. It should be beautiful, functional and designed around you.

That’s where having your designer and contractor working together from the beginning can make all the difference.

✨ Save this post before you start your remodel.

🚫 5 Things Quietly Dating Your Kitchen in 2026 (And the design choices replacing them)

Kitchen trends aren’t about chasing fads—they’re about creating spaces that feel timeless, functional, and tailored to the way you live.

Here are a few design choices we’re seeing homeowners move away from in 2026:
▫️ Small, busy backsplashes
▫️ Builder-grade lighting
▫️ Walls of upper cabinets
▫️ One-dimensional all-white kitchens

Instead, today’s kitchens are embracing:
✨ Full-height stone or tile backsplashes
✨ Statement lighting that doubles as art
✨ Cleaner, more open layouts
✨ Rich mixed materials, natural wood tones, layered textures, and warm finishes

The best part? You don’t need to gut your entire kitchen to make a dramatic difference. Sometimes strategic updates can completely transform how your space looks and feels.

If you’re thinking about renovating—or just wondering where to start—our designers can help you create a kitchen that’s beautiful today and still feels current for years to come.

📍Visit the Solimine Contracting Design Center at 188 Danbury Road, New Milford, CT to explore cabinetry, countertops, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and more—all with expert guidance under one roof.

🌊 From everyday routines to everyday retreats.

When our clients envisioned their home, they wanted every space to feel like a breath of fresh coastal air—bright, calming, and effortlessly beautiful.

✨ Their primary bathroom was transformed into a spa-inspired retreat featuring a spacious walk-in shower, clean lines, soft neutral tile, and natural light that creates a true sense of relaxation.

✨ The hallway bathroom carries the same beach-inspired aesthetic with timeless finishes, warm textures, and thoughtful details that make guests feel right at home.

The result? Two bathrooms that feel fresh, inviting, and designed to bring a little vacation home every single day.

At Solimine Contracting, we believe great design is more than beautiful finishes—it’s creating spaces that fit your lifestyle and make you love coming home.
