I don’t think I’ve been able to fully accept any of this is real yet. Have had to compartmentalise just to get through the days.

Brother, I thought we had more time. I was optimistic. For some reason I thought it would all be okay and you’d just pull through. There was so much more left to do.

You put my first ever band together. I did my first ever solo gig with you. 17 years deep and it was never just professional. We learned life together.

As the years went by our conversations deepened. Introspection, personal growth. Striving to become the men we knew we could be. You had matured into a wonderful man and solid friend. I’ve been so proud of you as I know you are of me.

I can’t look at these photos for too long without tearing up. I wish I could have seen you one last time but am eternally grateful we got a chance to speak so I could tell you what you meant and how much I loved you. My brother, Nathan Williams. @itsnathanwilliams

I’ll do my best to give this life everything I got like we talked about.
