Here is a #quickdinner idea. Beef and mushrooms for Mama, her two favorite things. I put a little too much balsamic vinegar. Anyway, when that happens add some honey, sweet counters sour. Added the honey, it brought the acidity lower than I wanted so I added a few drops of lemon, it needed a little more kick after the honey. At any point, add more of the slurry to thicken the sauce and balance out the taste. Use whatever kind of onion and spices, less is more.

Excuse me while I flood your timelines. I just graduated with a Masters in Food Studies! Thank you, @nyuniversity @nyusteinhardt. I really couldn't have asked for a better program. It was challenging for me in every sense, mind, body.... but man, we’re done. Thanks for all the support, family, friends, professors, and advisors at the food studies department especially! I’m tired! The Nigerian vs Ghanaian #JollofRice. My husband said that one time he ate Nigerian #Jollof rice and almost choked to death 😂. He obviously is not serious, Mr. exaggeration. He’s also Ghanaian so you can’t trust him. This is in between with jasmine rice. 🤦🏾‍♀️ Broken grains so he doesn’t claim I tried to choke him with my love for long grain rice. Oh and I made ribs too.

This is my third batch of #beefsuya this week. Recipe selection, writing, testing has always been foreign to me. When you grow up cooking without cookbooks writing is unnatural. Yes, even with a culinary arts education. It’s a struggle to refrain from your default settings. I’m enjoying it, I’m slowly chipping at it. Oh, and don’t try to rush any sort of creative process, it’s counter productive.
