@morgan.biesty gave me this idea…

2023- you literally found a way to change my life in any way it could. this past year taught me so much, from my strengths and weaknesses to knowing when i need to get my life together and so much more. i taught myself how to view certain aspects in ways where i try not to over think. as much as this year has found its ways to break me down, i learned how to build myself back up.

through laughter, tears, smiles, and sorrow i have learned so much to get me through as a person. the new people i’ve met, and the people i’ve managed to get closer to, helped me gain so much. it’s the people that got me by. and as much as this year put me through, i realized the pros significantly outweigh the cons.

i’ve learned how to draw a line between fake it til you make it and knowing when i deserve better. and that is something major that i have always struggled with. a smart lady told me this past march “you can’t live your life wondering “what if” you need to focus on what you can do going forward”. and when i tell you this is something i have always thought about ever since i was told this. i came to the realization that what i’ve done for a majority of this year was live in fear. it took a long time to realize, and now im having less “what ifs”. (im always gonna have a what-if, but that is life)

change is something that you’ll always have to go through. it’s going back and reflecting on how much you need in your life to make things better for yourself. it’s something that opens your eyes. which is something you don’t realize unless you actually do it.

and just keep in mind- if you’re struggling with something you’ve made it this far, you can keep going. things eventually get better as hard as it is to believe. i’ve learned that, you can too. happy new year ❤️
