Do you struggle with going over the bar then just blacking out and forgetting what happened over the bar??? Spatial Awareness is one of high jumps most essential pieces needed in our jumps. Spatial Awareness helps us be in control & aware when we jump and not just praying and hoping over the bar.

What helped me when I jumped:

1. Allowing myself to analyze what happened and not just waiting for my coach to tell me what I did wrong.
- it allows you to learn and train your body to recognize what your doing over the bar!

2. Would be reps, reps, reps with not only the bungee cord but incorporating the HJ bar every one in a while because more you jump with the bar the more you get the feel.
- the feel comes from knocking the bar down and remembering what touched it and adjusting you timing accordingly with what may have knocked it down.

3. Getting over the FEAR of falling was definitely a game changer when it came to my jumps because once I started to trust the mat would catch me it allowed me to free up space in my thinking process.
-Allowing me to execute my technique to be either patient or quicker with my mechanics over the bar.
