“Sometimes the win is hidden in the loss”

Man I had no idea Year 1 would go by this fast As year 1 comes to a close and I decompress we have a lot to be proud of. Some of the things we were able to do even I didn’t expect. But let’s start with some of the goals we had set heading into the season. Number one I wanted to do everything in my power to make sure we didn’t lose any players to grades. We did just that. We wanted to have more wins than last season. We did just that. Of course there were some goals that we didn’t reach but when you AIM HIGH you will fall just short sometimes. We wanted to finish the season with ten wins, we had 9. But unexpectedly we were able to sweep THREE schools, earn wins against schools that have won AT LEAST their last 5 matchups with us. We didn’t expect a player to hit the 1000 point milestone this season but that happened as well. I think I can go on the record and say the highlight of our season was earning a ROAD PLAYOFF WIN vs a team that we haven’t beat since I’ve been on the staff (4 years). Being able to send my seniors out with a playoff win and their winningest HS season means the most to me! Making it to the regional semifinals was not expected at all!

But I’d say the greatest achievement is to see these young men come together as one for a common goal. To see them believe in me, to see them learn what they’re capable of when they give everything that they have to give! We asked these boys to do so many things that were out of their comfort zone and that they’ve never done before.

I want to thank my coaches Coach Rob, Coach Blakely, Coach LJ for being with me every step of the way!!! I know that I’m a psycho when it comes to this 🥴😭but yal never wavered, always had my back, no matter what I come up with yal was rockin!!!

I’ll walk away from this season with confirmation knowing I’m exactly where I need to be and doing what I was put here to do! Will or lose this is the most fun I’ve had since playing! See yal soon😎
