Nate Wilcox Pro Model (Sweets Ver.)
💚🐦‍⬛💙
I still remember texting Nate back at Battle 2025 to ask if he was going that year and was gutted to hear him reply with a no, but then the video premieres started rolling, and boom: Nate Wilcox was an official player for Sweets Kendamas months after his previous 365 pro sponsorship had ended. I lost my mind. I could barely even pay attention to the announcement edit while I was frantically texting him congratulations. And now a little over a year and a half after that moment, he has a pro mod with Sweets. I was refreshing the Sweets site to try and get my hands on one asap at like 8 AM or sumn on drop day haha, and it paid off! Got one of the mods with a signed box 😎

Nate’s pro mod introduces the Knockout Shape to the Sweets shape lineup. It’s chunky for sure, but man does it perform so well all around. Taps, lunars, stalls, it does just about them all pretty damn well. Going into the design, I love that Nate used a faded string to match the general design and color gradient on his tama and string. Even back when he was in NorCal for a bit back in 2023, I remember this colorway being his ish so it’s refreshing to see it on his mod. Not to mention the line of crows being brought back along the sword from his previous 365 mod’s tama design, too. Always loved that feature of his last mod and was very delighted to see it return. And the BIRL under the big cup is a great shout, too, as a nod to one of Nate’s biggest supporters.

Nate, I dunno if I’ve told you this enough man but congratulations once again on both joining Sweets and on the official pro mod. It is so very well-deserved and I’m glad that you’re still finding success in kendama. You just continue to get better and show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Hope we can meet up at a future event and catch up on life, maybe even get both of these mods signed haha.
