A painterly portrait of Sheikh Zayed standing among blooming roses, wearing a traditional white kandura, white ghutra, and a brown bisht with gold trim. He holds a vintage film camera in his hands, symbolizing vision, storytelling, and cultural preservation. Soft, luminous brushstrokes and a pastel-toned floral background create a warm, dreamlike atmosphere, highlighting his dignified presence and legacy.

Guardians of the Nation — A Tribute to the UAE Armed Forces

The opening of 'Guardians of the Nation' was an occasion of rare weight, honoured by the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah.

The exhibition is a cultural tribute to the men and women of the UAE Armed Forces, translating gratitude into visual language through works that reflect on duty, sacrifice, and the quiet strength behind a nation at peace.

Presented in partnership with the University of Sharjah, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, Aswar Arts Centre, the Emirates Fine Arts Society, and DiarBid Arthouse.

A special thank you to the DiarBid artists whose work gives this tribute its voice:
