This year was a little extra special. Even though we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, it's been an amazing year. I'll never forget these amazing memories and the friendships I have made. ❤️

And just like that, junior fast pitch comes to an end. This isn’t how we pictured our season ending, and it’s hard to put into words how much this team and this game means to me. There were so many memories made, lessons learned, and moments I wish I could go back and live all over again. As much as this ending hurts, I’m so thankful for every second, every person, and every memory this season gave me. I wouldn’t trade this season for anything. #seniorsznloading

One more down. To keep it short, I couldn’t have asked for a better team. No we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, but we learned and improved and that’s a bigger win than any game could give us.

So Grateful for the coaches and teammates God has placed in my life to push me, believe in me, and help me grow. His plan is always greater than mine and all I have to do is trust that process. You don’t always get the outcome you want, but the plan and the process is so much greater.💕 I can’t wait for senior year🎉. #wrestling

As softball comes to an end, it’s hard not to feel emotional looking back on all the memories that have been made. From the highs and lows to the unseen moments and tough practices, every second was worth it because I got to spend it with my best friends. The laughs, the lessons, and the bonds we built along the way are things I’ll carry with me forever.

Wednesday 5-6-2026
Firelake Park
2026 Slow Pitch State Tournament, Shawnee, Oklahoma

Ahead of a 10 hour drive, I left Big Game Wrestling Club after practice, about 8:30pm on Tuesday Night. I drove about 6 hours and stopped in a hotel in Iola, Oklahoma. Left Iola about 9:30am for a 4 hour drive to Shawnee to be there for the 2:30pm quarterfinals game!

The Slowpitch state tournament is done in one day. So Caddo won at 2:30, won the Semifinal game that started at 5:30. Itneck and neck the whole game, a banger! They won in extra innings with a game winning double by ours truly, @itz_gage99 !!

Then on to the finals at 7pm!

It was a rematch of the fast pitch state tournament finals against Arapaho-Butler and another tough loss...

I left shortly after about 8:45pm. Drive 4 hours to Iola, Oklahoma. Stayed at the same Days Inn by Wyndham. Woke up Thursday and drove 6 hours to be back in Iowa City by 1:30pm! With plenty of time to work my butt off at @versa.coralville in the 4:30pm "Strong" class AND the 5:30pm "Hyrox" Class!!!

Quick trip and a bit more expensive than expected due to the high gas prices. But well worth it!

It filled my heart ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 I hadn't seen the Vaughn's in a long time! Perhaps since September 2025. The longest absence since I met them at practice in Carrollton in 2023. It was much needed. I was missing them!

Gage is now 6 for 9 in state finals appearances. 6 state finals appearances in softball. 4 Gold and 2 Silver!
3 finals appearances in wrestling. 2 Gold and 1 Silver!

She is a Daaaaawggg!! Love this kid and her family! Great people, kind, tough, and hardworking
