When the taxi doesn't show up and life turns into a K-drama.
Night bus. Dark roads. Miles and miles with only phone flashlight in hand. Survived - and thrived!
Ok, so what really happened - on our second night (and this is important as I must say after a week in Korea you WILL feel a little bit competent at getting around) but this was only our 2nd and a dark night indeed - after a full day templestay at remote #golgulsatemple our pre-ordered taxi didn't show. By the time we realised it never would the monks had gone to sleep and the visitors car park had emptied. We managed to find one ONE guy at the already locked up office who didn't speak a word of English so I had to muster up all my humble Korean to communicate. But when you're in survival mode, all your inhibitions are gone - where, how far, which number, all the elementary basics - we managed!!!!
Half an hour later we found ourselves on the right bus - after successfully deciphering THAT bus schedule&routes-, making the best memories ever! Be brave! It pays off! PS pictures are in reverse order (the last/first pictures are of our humble vegan temple meal).

What We Ate in Korea - Part 1 (because Instagram has decided 10 photos is the limit now 😅).
Believe it or not, we each lost 2 kilos in a week! Even with Korea’s meat, tofu and veggie-heavy dishes and our 20,000+ steps a day walking, it still came us a surprise!

Stay tuned for the next three parts!

Noone's available at this moment, call again after 9PM on Wednesdays.

If you need assistance, get a jump rope or some garlic to scare away the monsters.

Now another unforgettable memory from Jeju - Camellia Hill, The Forest of Love and Healing, there is always something beautiful blooming in this botanical garden, depending on the season.

A fabulous day at Gyeongbokgung Palace and at Jibokjae, King Gojong's private library that wasn't open when we were last in Seoul. We were there for opening time which gave us lots of space to explore. #koreatrip #seoul
