We are thrilled to present the performers in our one-act play and dance interpretations of Halyna Kruk’s war poems!

Meet Valentin ✨ @ivan.lent

Valentin wrote and directed a one-act play interpretation of “In This House” starring @meggiekevane

Valentin Vinokurov is a kindly bridge troll with a strong fawning reflex and a flair for the theatrical. Born in Odessa, Ukraine to Jewish parents, Valentin's family moved to San Diego as refugees after the breakup of the USSR when he was just a toddler. Growing up in this country, he has learned to code-switch with the best of them; as a result, he is no stranger to the liminal states that exist between languages, cultures, and worlds. In his spare time, Valentin enjoys reading encyclopedias, subverting expectations, and performing subtle acts of benign mischief.

Meet Megan ✨ @meggiekevane

Megan will be acting in a one-act play interpretation of “In This House”, performing a monologue written by @ivan.lent

Megan is a native Oregonian and active with the local theater community. She has been a writer, director, actor, and producer with local production companies including Monkey With a Hat On and Theater Berk. When not on stage or on film, Megan enjoys spending time with her two wonderful sons Tyler and Jacen, and being yelled at by her incredibly spoiled and aptly named cat, Princess. Megan works in the non-profit sector and has been with Transition Projects for just over 6 years now. Her other hobbies include spectacularly bad karaoke and sparkling hair. If you would like more information on how to get involved in helping fight homelessness here in Portland, please check the Transition Projects website for more information at: www.tprojects.org If you would like to get some sparkles in your hair, Megan has the listing of upcoming shows and/or can be contacted directly for sparkling at: www.instagram.com/meggiekevane Megan is very excited to be involved with the International Mural Project and is grateful for the opportunity to bring focus to important issues facing our world.
