This is actually my first trial voice over on edits, I was inspired by a very cool video @kivaconnor made of her wonderful art piece and right about now I bring to you a day in the life of AboAbas. This is just me walking outside and I get met with love from my community. Happy to share these moments with the kids.

We are inviting artists to contribute work to a collaborative fundraiser supporting children in our community. Artists can collaborate on a shared piece.

Our goal is to get a place of our own which means more space to create and more opportunities for kids to just be kids.

This week has been turf like super turf but kind of a reminder to what our mission is meant for, we are meant to stand firm as AboAba family.
If we are here to be forever, we are gonna need to get a place of our own. As the number grows, so does the noise complaints from my neighbors to my landlord.
Unfortunately it’s too much fun and they can’t take it.

So I decided to bring the kids to this place where we trespassed for fun and had some small completions to have the kids cheered up because they weren’t gonna take no for an answer when I kept telling them “we won’t be painting today”

We are building stars, this is what we do, make everyone feel at home away from home but what is it going to be like when our home is away 😕

Please send me a message if you are intrested or trying to get more details on this, I’m going to draw down a plan to sure on Tuesday with everyone but for now please feel free to ask questions in the Dm.

It’s all love from this side,
Tim❤️

Look how cute they are, I’m so proud of them.
We’ve come along way from recycling ink from dead markers to pulling strings with watercolors on paper 😂 how cool is even that?!
AboAba Family is a community based kids art project providing workshops to less privileged kids in Uganda fostering social connection and building a proper upbringing for the young people.

GET UP AND JUST BE AWESOME

Looking at these images of our active watercolor season, start to feel the real importance of this project to my community, more and more.
We are giving these children not just the opportunity to create but also a chance to a productive childhood, this is what they’re gonna look back to when they’re older and really appreciate it.
We are rewriting history, creating beautiful memories that will never fade away, with all the love and smiles wrapped around our work, it’s a pure blessing to be alive and just live these moments

We couldn’t have gotten to all of this if it wasn’t for all the kind humans out there rooting for us and making sure this creativity never ends, thank you so much. Loads of love from Uganda❤️‍🔥

Hi everyone, I hope you are all filled with energy and positive vibrations today and all the way through.
In our campaign for art supplies, I have decided to put up my very lovely works up for sale to help us raise funds to support with tax importing fees imposed on our packages of art supply donations from around the world.
At the moment we have two big boxes from our Dear friends of Udruga Peski Art in Croatia.

I have been working on some really cool pieces and I’m not gonna lie, I’ve never felt so much attachment to my work like I do now but I’ll be so happy to let if find a home with you.

In the process of making this work, I’ve been reminded myself that art is indeed my full form of expression, this is who I am.
I’m working on an album of these Titled “Breakthrough Journal”
An inspiration from my deepest thoughts within

These works are up for sale for only ($50)each except for one piece on canvas which is going for $100 (work isn’t framed yet)

I’m going to be making single posts for each one, I have mixed media works on ply wood, acrylics on plywood and a very special piece “my first ever work on a canvas panel”

Shout outs to @abbeyaura for believing in me and gifting me with canvases, I hope this work makes you feel proud buddy just as I am so much of this journey.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been here with us since day one and for all of you who just joined the movement, you are so welcome, AboAba is a Family🎨❤️‍🔥

Do you ever just sit down and look at your progress and just remember how far you have come, how hectic days have been and all the stress and also cherish the good moments that you have lived, lesson learned and the the good people you have met.

I just feel happy to see these children enjoy this space, a lot of people in the neighborhood had so many questions to ask about the activities going on around my home with this being something new in the community.
And now we have so many new faces that join us everyday, we are a one big family and bonded with the love for art.
Thank you so much to everyone, you have kept us going with your endless support. We still have a very long way to go and our community is growing.
