Calling all women 🥊
Want a fun way to learn how to defend yourself? Come learn from a professional fighter.

Team USA boxer Jasmine “Big Jas” Hampton (12x National Champion, Olympic Trials Bronze Medalist) is bringing a 2-hour women’s self-defense workshop to Pryde. It’s built on real boxing and taught by someone who does this for a living.

What you’ll learn:
🔴 Awareness and how to avoid danger
🔴 Stance, footwork and distance
🔴 Strikes that work under stress
🔴 How to break free and get out

No experience needed. Come by yourself or bring your sister, your mom or your best friend. You’ll leave sweaty, smiling and a lot more confident.

Out-of-the-box thinking. Extraordinary work. 💪
Adaptive performance training at Pryde means building the plan around the athlete, not the other way around. New tools, new setups, and a team that shows up for every rep.
Every athlete. Every ability.

The most remarkable part of this journey has nothing to do with what we've accomplished. It has everything to do with the incredible people we've met along the way, who have made it the pilgrimage of a lifetime.

Fitness isn’t one-size-fits-all — and neither is our space.

We built Northville without barriers. No separate room for “special needs.” No back corner for adaptive equipment. Just one open floor where someone recovering from a stroke trains next to someone chasing a PR, where a walker and a kettlebell share the same turf, where kids, partners, and caregivers are part of the workout — not just watching from the sidelines.

That’s what NeuroFit is about. Real inclusion isn’t a program bolted onto a gym. It’s a gym built so nobody has to be pulled aside in the first place.

MS. Parkinson’s. POTS. TBI. Vestibular dysfunction. Falls & balance. Spinal cord injury. Stroke recovery. Whatever you’re working through, there’s a place for you here — fully modifiable, every condition, no exceptions.

Registration is now open. Call (734) 585-6018 to claim your spot.

🔥 Infrared heat: deep, full-body warmth that gets you sweating
🌊 Thermal wave therapy: heat that works below the surface
🔴 Red & near-infrared light: supports recovery and skin health
⚡ Vibration therapy: activates muscles and gets circulation moving
🌬️ Negative ion air: clean, fresh air while you recover
🧲 Magnetic balance therapy: low-frequency fields for a whole-body reset

This isn’t a crash diet or a quick fix. It’s how to lose fat the correct way, built into a program that supports your training, your recovery and your long-term health.

Real sweat. Real work. 💦

Team USA’s: Lexi Coleman on Pressure, Process & Purpose 🏐✨
Exactly one year to the day since our last interview, and so much has changed! It was an absolute blast catching up with Lexi Coleman to talk about her incredible journey, navigating high pressure, staying locked into the process, and finding true purpose on and off the court.

So grateful to re-connect, witness her growth, and share this conversation with you all. Big things ahead! 🙌💡

OWN YOUR JOURNEY. 🦁

TONIGHT Detroit City Youth West FC filled the Village Theatre at Cherry Hill — and we handed our players the keys.

Half of injured young athletes hide it to stay in the game. They don’t get hurt because they’re weak. They get hurt worse because they stayed quiet.

So we put eight specialists on one stage and gave them to 13-18 year-olds. Thank you 🙏

Nicole Bopp, MS Nutrition · Rachel Zerona, MS · LaShawn Davis, LLMSW · Cole Hahn, BS, CSCS · Dr. Ben Mayo, MD · Dr. Vanita Koepke, PT, DPT · Dr. Devon van Rensburg · Dr. Jessie Russell, PT, DPT, C/NT

And Charlie Bell, Club Director at Detroit City Youth West, who opened the night — this was the club’s idea, and it showed.

Special thanks to Carlos Saldaña, goalkeeper for Detroit City FC. 🧤 He didn’t have to be there. He came anyway. Every kid in that room plays on a Saturday hoping somebody is watching — tonight somebody they watch was watching them.

Six principles: personal responsibility · sleep · recovery · nutrition · mindset · preparation

Every athlete left with a signed card. Three commitments, ninety days — the week of December 15, somebody’s going to ask.

Nobody is coming to do this part for you. That’s the good news.

Today was one of those moments that made me pause and think, “Wow… I really built this.”

Today, I had the privilege of speaking to youth soccer athletes about something I believe every young person deserves to learn: how to cope, how to recover, and how to bend without breaking.

Built to Bend: Coping Skills & Resiliency Techniques for Life is a training I’ve spent the last 7 years researching, developing, refining, and dreaming about bringing to life. Today, I got to stand in front of a room full of young athletes and actually implement it. That was incredibly meaningful to me.

I’m so grateful to Reema Beri, owner of Flourish Psychology and Wellness, for trusting me to represent our practice and share this work. It means so much to have someone believe in your vision enough to give you the space to bring it into the world.

A huge thank you to Ivan Ankwatsa, Founder of Pryde Athletics and Physical Therapy, and DCFC Detroit for inviting me, welcoming me so openly, and creating space for conversations about mental health, resilience, and the whole person behind the athlete.

Because resilience isn’t about never struggling.
It’s about learning what to do when you struggle.

It’s knowing when to pause.
Knowing how to regulate.
Knowing how to ask for help.
Knowing that setbacks don’t define you.
And understanding that being flexible isn’t being weak. Sometimes, bending is exactly how we keep from breaking.

Today was more than a presentation for me. It was a little glimpse of a vision I’ve been carrying for seven years.

What does it mean to be a caregiver 24/7?

“My only job in this interview was to shut up and listen.”

In our latest episode, Simon Dyson shares a deeply inspiring story of overcoming adversity that left none of us untouched. Simon speaks candidly about his mission to build a safe, supportive space for children with disabilities who are aging out of the care system.

His transparency is a masterclass in vulnerability—a reminder that real strength lies in sharing our burdens, not carrying them alone. Caregivers and advocates alike won’t want to miss this one.

Special THANK YOU to @cinematicbrandingpro for the amazing production!!
