Great design begins with collaboration.

We recently welcomed the creative minds behind the Buchu Collection: @_hkstudio_ and @ivanmccarthy_ad to our Gallery of Light.

An opportunity to exchange ideas, explore the possibilities of experiential lighting, and discover how light can bring a shared creative vision to life.

Because when architecture, design and light come together, we create more than beautiful spaces. We create experiences.

Experience more with light.

𝗢𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 & 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.

The finest homes sometimes emerge from the ones already standing.

Not every remarkable project begins with a blank page. Some ask us to imagine entirely new futures, while others reveal the extraordinary potential hidden within what already exists. These projects celebrate the art of renewal — respecting what came before while creating homes that feel contemporary, thoughtful, and deeply connected to the people who live within them.

Join us as we welcome the shortlisted projects for Residential Refurbishment of the Year.

We celebrate projects that embrace transformation — from visionary developments that challenge what’s possible, to thoughtful residential refurbishments that prove great architecture is just as much about renewal as it is about reinvention.

Join us as we unveil the shortlisted projects for Visionary Development of the Year.

These shortlisted projects demonstrate ambition, long-term thinking, and the ability to reshape the way we live, work, and experience our cities.

Set on an elevated koppie in Hermanus, surrounded by fynbos with views over the golf course and the sea beyond, this family holiday home by @ivnmc takes its cues from the landscape around it.

Sage green, chalky grey and soft mineral tones carry through the interiors, creating a home that feels layered, calm and deeply connected to its setting.

We loved seeing key Wunders pieces woven into the space. Our Icon Swivel Chair on the covered terrace, custom upholstered headboards and bed bases in the main room, guest room and children’s rooms, Rovetti Dining Chairs around the table and our Rockefeller Stools in a custom fabric.

It is a home made for holiday living. Natural light, mountain views, slow mornings, children’s feet on the floor, dinners around the table and whale watching from the terrace.

Moments and memories made within these walls, with Wunders pieces there to carry them through the years.

Espressolab, a Cape Town pioneer born in 2009, brings its coffee atelier to De Waterkant. With warm terrazzo floors, rich timber paneling, sculptural steel tables, and soft natural light, the space feels precise yet inviting. An intimate roastery-café where boutique batches meet direct producer relationships, championing sustainability in every bean.
