EP. 02 We have a day left.

A year ago, this was obedience. Now we’re still trying to believe that it still is.

Some moments it felt like God was all over it. But lately… it’s been quiet. And honestly, it’s easier to believe the thoughts that tell us it’s over.

But God says weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5) 🤍🙏🏾

This is IN THE MIDDLE EP. 02 “MORNING.” If you’re in the middle too, you’re not alone.

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24
We love to quote verse 24 because it speaks to faith and receiving. But too often we stop there and ignore verse 25:
“And whenever you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them...”
We want God’s promises, but sometimes we skip God’s instructions.
We want answers now, breakthroughs now, blessings now. But God’s timing isn’t our timing. His plan is bigger than the part of the story we can see. While we’re waiting, He’s working. While we’re praying, He’s preparing.
Faith isn’t just believing God can do it. Faith is trusting Him even when He hasn’t done it yet. And obedience means embracing the whole passage, not just the verse that benefits us.
Don’t settle for half the story. Trust His timing. Believe His promises. Walk in forgiveness. Let God write the ending.

What a day, but what an even greater God! 🙌
When a last-minute catering cancellation nearly derailed dinner for our Celebrate Recovery group tonight, my new friends at @bigburritosmg completely saved the day. They stepped up in the clutch and put together an incredible taco bar for 25 that was absolutely delicious. If you’re ever near Oakwood, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit!
Tonight was extra special because I got to celebrate 3 years in recovery from alcohol.
More importantly, today marks 3 years to the day since I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. There is no way I could have walked this road without God’s amazing grace. He has faithfully placed the right people in my path, in the right places, at the exact right times.

What if it still hurts?

What if you prayed and the situation didn't change?

What if you lost something you can't get back?

Romans 8:28 doesn't say everything that happens to us is good.

It tells us that God works in all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

There's a difference.

The betrayal wasn't good.

The loss wasn't good.

The failure wasn't good.

The suffering isn't suddenly painless because we believe in Jesus.

But none of it is beyond God's ability to redeem.

And Romans 8 doesn't stop there.

Paul tells us the suffering of this present time isn't worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed.

Then he finishes with this:

Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

So when you can't understand what God is doing...

hold onto what you know about who God is.

He is still working.

His promises still stand.

And His love for you is still unbreakable.

Nobody talks about how weird it feels when your income changes faster than your mindset.

You can finally afford the things you prayed for and STILL feel guilty spending the money.

I’m learning there’s a difference between being financially responsible and being afraid to enjoy what you worked for.

First day of Ministry School complete! 🤗
What a blessed time we both had diving into our courses today.
Hubbys in his first year and I'm in my second year so we're both in different classes but we both really enjoyed our courses today and are excited to learn more, grow more, and share what we glean to help others in their journeys with Christ as well! 🙌
