Midweek, handled. One drink in hand, the bar glowing behind her, and no plans to check the time. Swipe for the moment she decides to stay for another. A woman in a white lace top smiles at the camera at Masa & Agave, holding a blue and white swirled cup with a salted rim in both hands, the backlit bar shelves soft behind her.

Harness on, gloves on, jungle floor a long way down. Zip-lining through the Belize canopy, over the river and back across the swinging bridge. Book it at oceantidebeach.com/tours.

It’s a mixed bag, my friends… 🤪
Also, I feel it’s VERY important to say this:

As a mother of both a son and a daughter, a Cornell graduate, and someone who was part of the Greek community on that campus, the Cornell case has been weighing heavily on me.

Not because I want to speculate about an ongoing case, but because it’s a reminder of the conversations we have to be having with our kids—about consent, about respecting boundaries, about recognizing when something is wrong, and about having the courage to step in when a friend crosses a line.

And especially for those of us raising sons: being a “good guy” isn’t simply about not participating. It’s about knowing when to speak up, when to intervene, and when to walk away.

Our kids need to hear these things from us. Repeatedly.

…and that’s all I have to say about that.

Cressi, on location in Belize. Dive gear shot in the water it was made for, not a studio. A swimmer seen from below with pink fins at the surface, seagrass on the sand beneath.
