For the last ten days, our family has had the privilege of hosting two wonderful Japanese students through the @stonyplainab sister town exchange with Shikaoi, Japan @shikaoiexchange .

Over this short stay, we were able to share some Canadian traditions, including an NHL @edmontonoilers game, Halloween excitement, @official_wem West and a road trip to Drumheller packed with moose sightings (dead and alive!), prairie views, hoodoos, and the famous @royaltyrrell Museum. We rounded out their stay with an huge Thanksgiving meal.

During these days, we learned new words and shared traditions. The girls, Sakurako and Koharu, not only became friends but felt like family by the end.

This experience was a reminder to collect memories, not things.
