Empowerment and Courage Over Confidence. What a wonderful conversation to be part of!

I had the pleasure of joining Felicity Youl as a storyteller at the International Women's Forum Emerging Leaders Program, where we shared our personal and professional journeys and explored the theme of Empowerment and Courage Over Confidence.

One of the things I’ve come to appreciate through my own journey is that confidence doesn’t always come before taking that next step. Sometimes, it’s courage that gets us moving, even when we’re uncertain, and confidence comes later through the experience.

It was such a lovely evening of sharing stories, experiences and perspectives with a room full of emerging leaders. I also thoroughly enjoyed listening to Felicity’s story and learning more about her incredible personal and career journey. There is so much we can learn from each other’s experiences, particularly the challenges and decisions that have shaped who we are today.

Being part of the IFWA emerging leaders community is something I value, and having the opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of leaders makes it even more rewarding.

A special thank you to Kristen Hansen for facilitating such a thoughtful and engaging conversation, and to Cathy Doyle from NobleOak Insurance for generously providing the facilities and making the evening possible.

I walked away feeling just as inspired by the people in the room as I hope they were by our stories.

My cup was full that night.

And perhaps that’s the message I’d love to leave with emerging leaders: Don’t wait until you feel confident enough. Sometimes you just need the courage to begin.

Celebrating 10 Years of @iwffrance 🇫🇷🎉🥂

What a weekend ! ⚡️Cheers to three days of connection, courage & collaboration across borders & generations with the @iwfglobal community bringing together exceptional female leaders from various backgrounds and cultures. 🥂🌍

Delighted to have been part of the German delegation from IWF 🇩🇪 honouring the important achievement of @iwffrance !

From the cocktail reception at Palais du Luxembourg hosted by Madame la Sénatrice Marta de Cidrac, to a gala dinner on the Seine and the visit of the private apartments @chateauversailles the anniversary programme was a tribute to French elegance, history, and power of a shared vision💪🏻

One personal highlight was our visit to @veverjewelry and to learn more about the revival of the historic maison by @camillevever and her brother Damien; loved their jewellery collection shaped by art, sustainability and legacy ✨

Merci infiniment @iwffrance for the unforgettable memories, new friendships & reconnections (sometimes whatsapp group chats offer wonderful surprises 😉)

Bon courage pour la suite 🥂⚡️⭐️

Celebrating a decade of inspiring leadership, meaningful connections, and international sisterhood at IWF France!

As IWF Türkiye, we were delighted to join IWF France’s 10th anniversary celebrations in Paris. The festivities began on October 9 with an elegant cocktail reception held in a section of the French Parliament, which opened its doors for this special occasion.

It was a great privilege to celebrate this important milestone alongside IWF Global President Kimberly Cooper Jaqua and IWF France President Elisabeth Ourliac, who continue to strengthen connections and solidarity among women leaders around the world.

IWF Türkiye was represented at this special event by our President, Atty. Dr. Çiğdem Ayözger Öngün, who also serves as Co-Chair of the IWF Global AI & Data SIG; our Board Member Kına Demirel; and our members Ahu Orakçıoğlu and Muteber Yılmazcan.

As a gesture of friendship and solidarity, on behalf of IWF Türkiye, we presented the President of IWF France with a special silk scarf designed by Arzu Kaprol, one of Türkiye’s leading fashion designers, and produced by our former Board Member Yasemin Gür Solmaz.

Here’s to many more years of inspiration, collaboration, and growing our collective impact!

Joyeux 10ᵉ anniversaire, IWF France !

The opening reception for the IWF Fellowship was hosted by IWF Mexico at the JW Marriott (GORG!). 🥂🇲🇽✨

It was a brilliant moment to launch the week with women who are both long-time and new members of IWF, learning their stories as we embarked on ours.

The highlight was meeting Liliana (last pic!) in person. She interviewed me for the program in June. She is brilliant and dynamic and I remember such connection with her. She shared, “the Fellowship was a moment to embrace and understand that to be a woman in leadership was a power, a strength. Not something to be dimmed, rather, accessed and understood. This is what my IWF sisters continue to teach me.”

I’m excited to learn across the next 14 months and beyond, and am already drawing strength from my gals aka The Fellows and so many members of this brilliant worldwide network. #sisterhood

💜Gratitude infinie pour les échanges si riches partagés à ma table avec Yael Lipman (présidente d’ @iwfisrael ), Caroline McDonald, Lucile Schoumacher, Catherine Delhaye, Tuija Keinonen, Carol Graham, Roberta Dell’Apa, Eileen Fitzpatrick, Katharina Upmeyer et Anne-Marie Straathof. 🙏

🥂 💜🕊️Ensemble, plus fortes, plus libres, plus audacieuses. Longue vie à IWF France !
