WENDS & FRIENDS BACK IN ACTION 🔥 Friday’s Fundraiser session for @knockengorrochfestival was full to the brim with vibes. First time back in this playground as Wends & Friends since last summer and it felt SO good to be skanking with these humans again. Although it’s my name on the collective, it’s really all down to these special selectors / vocalists who bring their beautiful selves with such joy and love for the music. Couldn’t be more honoured that they put their hearts into these sessions under my name. Get to know @izitdj @_mg4nga_ & @constancepennycuickmusic_ if you don’t already 💓 @t_o_d_dj & @laundrydiscs will be back with us for the Boardwalk stage at @edenfestival this year ✨ Huge respect and love to @laundrydiscs & @alia._.darling for throwing such an amazing dance 📸 - @mkwyldmedia

Knockengorroch FUNdraiser on Good Friday 3.4.26 7PM-3AM Tickets £10-£20 sliding scale LINK IN BIO MEET THE ARTISTS Hello lovely people here it is, the line-up we’ve all been waiting for! To celebrate our community, We’ve put together a special mix of local musicians to lift your spirits ⭐️Con’tylia The voices of Con’tylia, accompanied by the strings of a Cretan laouto, guitar, hand drums, and clarinet, aim to explore the wonders of Greek folk music, ranging from ambient ballads to Greek mainland and island dances, bringing the storytelling of Greek music to Scotland’s stages. ⭐️Roofcats Feral folk, blues and hot-wired swing, prowling the overlap of fok, jazz and blues, with echoes of Joplin and Reinhardt, drawing on sounds that feel centuries of but sharply alive. ⭐️Duende Soundsystem Duende as a project began in 2022 as a Latin focussed club night. It has since grown into a Glasgow regular and provides a space in the city’s nightlife for Afro-Latin, Carribean and carnival sounds. The soundsystem is a powerful community tool for bringing people together and sharing love of music, dance and collective joy. ⭐️Wends and Friends Wends & Friends are a collective of versatile selectors and vocalists. Dipping into as many of their favourite genres as possible, selectors IZIT?, T.O.D, Mganga & Laundry Discs propagate a journey from roots reggae through dub, 140, steppas and jungle, while Wends, Mganga & Constance supply soundsystem-style vocal magic throughout. The WnF team continue with intention to create a profoundly playful space, knowing that the buzz of connection, joy and passion felt on stage will transmit to the crowd via heavy basslines spreading powerful music and positive vibrations throughout. ⭐️DJ Jacopo A true Knockhead and a music fanatic at heart. DJ Jacopo curates a set like no one else. A marvel for you ears, when Jacopo is behind the decks you can expect jumping vinyl selection and a soundscape to lift your souls.
