LA Marathon Month.

Miles with the people who make this more than a club.

Running has a way of bringing people together.
Some become friends. Some become family.

We lost one of the best.

Alex, you would’ve loved this past month in LA.
We’ll be lining up at OC Marathon for you. 🦋

The PERC squad took on the surf city half marathon! It was a lot of fun getting to race with my teammates and getting to see them crush this course. I started off a little too fast but held on for a PR finishing in 1:12:44. Overall it was a solid effort, next up LA Marathon 😤 🔜

One of the best things about sports is everyone has a story, but at the end of the day they always end up in the same place with the same goal! This past weekend at CIM was no different.

@salvadorcapetillo - Working full time and training can be difficult but he managed to do it. In his marathon debut he took a controlled first half approach. With an untimely pit stop early on, he still managed to crush his first marathon and fell just a bit short of the Olympic Trials standard. 2:16:11 (5:12 per mile average)

@erfranco14 - a full time student and working part time rose to the occasion this weekend with a massive 5+ minute PR with his 2:21:40 (5:25 per mile average)

@shelbywatakanabe - Working part time and being a mileage guru, Sheldon ran a consistent paced race and brought him a 4 minute PR with his 2:22:01 (5:26 per mile average)

@antonio_r_carbajal -With a full time job and training, this was his first marathon on over a year. He was looking for a huge breakthrough and got just that! He took down his PR by 9 minutes and ran a 2:23:06 (5:28 per mile average)

@_jameslop_ -a full time Aviation school student took on the challenge of his first marathon. He ran away with a huge debut with his 2:28:47 (5:41 per mile average)

Caleb-He set out to get under 2:30 and did just that. He went out hot, but maintained ad as rewarded with a 3+minute PR in 2:29:17 (5:42 per mile average)

@izzakk -“Here for the Vibes”. He was set out to pace the ladies for a fair amount of miles and then star moving. He is primed for a big one in his next marathon. He still ran a controlled 2:31:22 (5:47 per mile average)

@adamgoldberggg -Studying for the CPA exam and working part time, Adam’s goal was to get as close to 2:30 as possible. A nagging hip issue hindered him from getting after it the second half, but his fitness took him to a massive 4+ minute PR with his 2:31:38 (5:48 per mile average)

@ryleyfick - A full time Physical Therapy student and still getting after it in training! It paid off as she took down her previous by over 7 minutes: 2:47:04 (6:23 per mile average). *the rest in the comments*
