Better late than never to look back on an amazing Spring Western Season!

I had a lot of firsts this season. I qualified for regionals and placed third in Level 1 Horsemanship. Then I went to Semi’s in New Mexico and represented the team in the Level 2 Team Horsmanship and placed 3rd. The team then placed fourth overall and traveled to Nationals in North Carolina. We had a great time competing and ended up 12th in the Nation!!

I couldn’t have done all of this without the support and help of my family, friends, and coaches. With their help I came back from my fall in Hunt Seat stronger than ever.

I can’t wait to see what next year brings!!

Double Trouble 🏆🏆

This semester has been one for the books. We traveled to both Kansas and Colorado for some of our regions IHSA shows. I officially pointed out of Level 1 and qualified for regionals!! Now I am showing in both horsemanship and ranch riding. This has led to two winning high point rider twice and one reserve. With an undefeated start to the season, as a team, I cannot wait to see what next semester brings! Also, big shout out to my coaches: Kelsey, Lena, and Hayley!!!

This past Saturday, we hosted an incredible banquet with our team, alumni, and friends!
We celebrated team awards, honored post-season qualifiers, recognized our seniors and coaches, and enjoyed reconnecting—including with our amazing bus driver, Del. A special thanks to our keynote speaker, Sierra Nelson, for sharing her words with us.
Check out the highlights!

We have so much love for our incredible team horses! Recently, members had the chance to snap a few photos with their favorites. Check out the blurbs on each photo to see why these horses hold a special place in their hearts.

Two years ago today started like any other day, but God had other plans. 💔We lost an incredible husband, dad, friend, uncle, brother, son, and human being. He left an indelible mark on all our 💞 hearts! Dave and I started our story with not much but our dreams , we’ve had more through hard work, but we NEVER needed those “things”. It was always about “us” … him and I and the family God blessed us with. Our journey from Nebraska to Iowa, then Tucson, AZ, Oceanside, CA, Folsom, CA then back full circle to Iowa was not without its trials. We definitely took the road less traveled, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. We met incredible friends who still stand by the kids and I to this day. So thankful for all of you. 💗We’ve made wonderful memories and I thank God everyday that he put Dave in my life when I wasn’t even looking!
