It has been so special being back in Marion with our volunteers, sponsors, forever sisters, and candidates. I feel immensely grateful for every person who made this week possible and works diligently to support our organization and candidates not just this week but year round. We sure are lucky in Illinois!

I’ll never get over the gowns @joycestpr dressed me in this week! I wish I had an excuse to wear gowns from Joyce’s Boutique every day! Thank you, Michelle and Eileen, for making me feel so loved and beautiful this week!

During these finals hours as Miss Illinois, many memorable and touching moments are playing on repeat in my head, filling my heart with tears of joy. As I turn to my next chapter in life, I will forever hold each person I met and interaction I had during my travels near and dear to my heart. Those people and moments gifted this journey with inexpressible and immense meaning. 🤍 I’m forever grateful!

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Hey, Illinois! I love you! 💜
•
Incredibly grateful for these moments representing Illinois!!! The state flower, the violet, inspired my costume! I cannot thank Ashley Hatfield, Michelle Holmes, and Tammy Wells enough for all the time they spent making my fabulous shoes and costume! And, @joycestpr sponsored the perfect gown for the occasion!
•
Also, a BIG shout-out to the best cheering squad!!! Thank you so much Aunt Michelle, Uncle Johnny, Mr. Howard, Mrs. Howard, Ashley, Patrick, Maddie, Claire, Cindy, Mom, and Dad for coming! It meant so much to have you all there. 💜
•
Thank you to the amazing Susan Shea! Susan made sure I had everything I needed and drove with me in the parade today!
•
Last but not least, thank you to every volunteer who helped make this parade possible in Mystic! Your hospitable ways made the day extra memorable!

The most magical day! ✨

Nicole with @aboveableshop planned and hosted an incredible party for young girls! From unicorn rides to a hair braiding station, Nicole covered it ALL and then some! I had the best time chatting with the AA littles and their parents! Thank you to Nicole (aka the queen of party planning, boss woman, and leader of all things women’s empowerment) for inviting me! 💗

On this Women’s Equality Day, we celebrate those who courageously fought to make women’s voices heard. Let us continue to be trailblazers and glass ceiling breakers for the generations of young girls/women to come, because the fight for equity is not done.
