There truly aren’t enough words to describe what I’m feeling right now—
gratitude, grace, pride, love… it still wouldn’t be enough.
The last few days have been tough. Recovering from surgery while trying to run a business is no small thing—and today, I pushed too far.
We had a rush of about 50 people come in all at once near the end of the day, and after pushing through as long as I could, I had to step away. I hit my limit.
And that’s when Izzy stepped in.
This incredible young woman—my firstborn—has been everything I’ve needed and more. Chauffeur, assistant, nurse, cheerleader… and today, a leader.
Without hesitation, she took over and handled it. Calm, capable, and strong in a moment that could have easily been overwhelming.
Watching her step up like that filled me with so much pride I can’t even put it into words.
I may have had to step back today… but she stepped forward. And she absolutely rose to the occasion.
Izzy, I am so proud of you. I don’t know what I would do without you. 💛
