Labor Day is tomorrow, which means summer is officially over! 😩
This summer consisted of basketball, traveling to games and tournaments, celebrating birthdays, and experiencing an unexpected, excruciating loss 😭 (RIP Julie). There was Izzy hanging out with friends, Aaden staying back home with Grandma (he wanted absolutely NO parts of traveling with us to tournaments 😂), celebrating our anniversary and our friends’ anniversary, and reconnecting with friends from all different walks of life. Oh and lots of landscaping with my neighbor/family 🥰….

A LOT happened this summer! 🤦🏽‍♀️

And somehow, it felt so short because I had to be back at work before I even knew it. 😩

Here’s to Indian summer, fall festivities, and all the holiday seasons ahead! 🍂🎃🦃🎄❤️

It’s my son’s last 1st day of school, and I’m struggling with this one! 😩😭🥹🥰 Aaden, may your senior year be filled with greatness and purpose for all that’s ahead. I love you so much, and we are SO proud of you! ❤️

Meanwhile, Izzy is off to 7th grade!!! Somewhere between the little kids and upperclassmen of middle school! 😂 Go get ’em, Izzy! I know you both will do amazing things. We’re so proud of you both! Have the BEST first day and year! ❤️❤️

Year 3 in the books! As always, Izzy had a great time at the KK Arnold camp this weekend! She received another award this year. This year she received “Best Sportsmanship” Izzy, keep working hard, not only are you a hard worker, and a skilled ball player, but your character will take you far! Way to go! @izzygetsbusy_2032

7th grade, get ready. Izzy’s coming! 🥰💜💜… #openhouse #7thgrade shout out to her G-mama for the locker decor. We bought her a shelf for her locker and little did we know her g-mama had an entire locker kit that matched some of the things we had already got her. Izzy, you’re set up nicely 🤩

Swipe 👈🏾 to see how our season went! (Sorry for the long post 🤪😂) I put together some of my favorite highlights from the season:

Izzy’s first AAU season was everything we hoped it would be. As parents, all we wanted was for her to be part of a program where she could grow mentally, physically, and as a teammate and that’s exactly what she found.

We watched her confidence and leadership grow, and one of our favorite parts was seeing her build friendships with such kind, talented, and respectful girls. Damon and I also met some incredible families, and we truly enjoyed every moment of this season.

A huge thank you to Coach @tonygries and @dienertravis for believing in Izzy, challenging her, and helping her continue to grow. We appreciate you both!

To the parents, family, and friends—thank you for every game you attended (even with those ridiculously expensive admission fees 🙄😂), every fundraiser donation, every encouraging word, and every prayer from near or far. Your support means more than you know.

With all the AAU horror stories you hear, we were hopeful we’d find the right fit and @chapmanbasketballacademy exceeded every expectation. This program is truly special, and we’re so thankful to be part of it.

Joining Chapman was Izzy’s goal, and she hasn’t taken this opportunity for granted. Piece by piece, she’s putting in the work, growing every day, and we’re so proud of you, Busy Izzy! ❤️ Keep building!! 💪🏾
See you next season! We can’t wait! 🥰🏀❤️🙏🏾

I was able to capture Izzy hitting another buzzard beater in one of last night’s games. After stalling the ball, she hit another game winner! It blew me away! 2 weeks in a row! Wow! Congratulations on both wins girls. You all showed up and out and played so tough-against 8th graders! Very impressive! 👏🏾💪🏾🔥❤️ @smoove34 @izzygetsbusy_2032

Sunday marked Izzy’s last soccer game with this team, and it was definitely an emotional one. She’s been playing with many of these girls since 3rd grade, and it’s been such a special journey watching them grow together—not just as players, but as young women.

With the league changing and new rules coming next year, this chapter is coming to a close. I want to thank all of the parents for the countless hours spent on the sidelines. It has truly been a pleasure sharing these seasons with you. Thank you for embracing my enthusiasm and love for cheering on our girls—you’ve made these years even more memorable.
To all of the girls, I wish you the very best as you continue your soccer journeys. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you accomplish both on and off the field.

And to the coaches—thank you for believing in Izzy, encouraging her, and being some of her biggest supporters. Your time, dedication, and confidence in her have meant more than you know.
Here’s a clip from Sunday’s game. Izzy scored an incredible long-distance goal with her left foot! What a way to end this chapter. ❤️🥰

Thank you all for the memories, friendships, and support over the years. I’m sure we’ll see many of you back on the field in just a few months! ⚽️❤️ #soccer #girls #northshoresoccer #stiker #germantownsoccerclub @smoove34 @izzygetsbusy_2032
