EF 2027 ARTIST INTRO: Jo Warren Thinking Future Thoughts at Life World "Thinking Future Thoughts" (working title) is a solo-turned-ensemble dance for five that descends into the sub-basement of our collective mind. In a world of flat images, "Future Thoughts" invites us to witness people becoming dimensional before our very eyes. Created in collaboration with the performers: Angel Acuña Jack Dexter David Guzman Cullan Powers Original sound composition by Ryan Gamblin Lighting Design by Connor Sale Scenic design support from Clara Harlow and Izzy Leung Photo by Jo Warren Find them: @jo__warren jo-warren.com Working with themes of rugged individualism, isolation and gay shame, we watch five “men” move through various states of suppression, desire, entanglement and surrender. Runtime: 50 min theexponentialfestival.org Art by Mark Toneff. Designed by Ashely Pignataro. #exponentialfestival #exponential #theexponentialfestival #takeroot

These paintings are up for the rest of the weekend right off the B or Q Brighton Beach stop on 7th. The final days of summer are here, and truly where does the time go? Thank you to @drugsbrightonbeach for being brave to open a door with a window to remind one to break from their hussle. All located at one of the most incredible places in NYC. The sky has been too kind, go on and give their movement a prayer, a gratitude, a moment. Thank you to Allyson and Izzy for joining me to read children's stories out in the open. Truly a dream of mine. I love old tales, we must keep them alive. Thank you to all the folks who came out, what a special time. 🌕✨💐🌊

Delighted to share gifts in Brighton Beach. This Friday at 7:00pm is the closing for a display of paintings. We will have an honor for story telling time with three readers. My heart loves Brighton. I lived here once and so these selection of new and old works reflect on this world of memories a language that we must count blessings to. Much love to the @drugsbrightonbeach crew, love y'all so much to make this all happen. I love the dusk, love the colors of periwinkle glazing a soft pink, love when you shed tears and a bird flew by, love drawing when my friends tell stories to extend their presence, love when parallel connections occur and you begin to see the oats you dreamed of through a tiny gate window during a walk, love how egg yolk blends with pigment, love how we get... to be part of... all these gifts... and give back with meaning. ❣️
