my family. my home. my whole life.

i cannot begin to express the feelings i have toward this team, it may just look like a sport from an outsider looking in, but for the past four years it has truly been my life. everything i’ve ever known is in that weightroom. i have put my heart and soul into this team and while it genuinely hurts me that it has gone by this quick, i know that i will always remember what girls weightlifting has brought into my life. when i was at my lowest, this team is what brought me back, brought back the light in my eyes, brought back my joy. i don’t know that i will ever have a connection with a group of people ever again like i did with this team. coach wise has always been there for me no matter what and pushed me to be the person i am today. the amount i will miss him and miss this team is astronomical. there is not a single thing i regret throughout my highschool lifting career. i love every single person on the team more than you know. i will always be here, please don’t ever stop reaching out. I thank god for the friendships i’ve made and the constant love i have felt these past 4 years.

wow, where do i even begin, i started this program my freshman year with no idea where how much it would change me as a human being. the relationships and friendships i’ve made will always be unforgettable. i have most definitely had my ups and downs throughout my weightlifting career but NEVER would i have even dreamed of placing at state, let alone, placing 5th. on top of allll of that we are 2x state champions, and i can’t believe i have been able to experience this not once but twice!!! today has been amazing and so bittersweet, even though that was my last time lifting competitively as a pace high school student i will forever remember this sport and the experiences and love it has brought me. i am SO SO PROUD of EVERYONE that lifted today, but also the people who sat by my side and everyone’s side and supported us through this moment. i genuinely cannot wait to see what pace gwl has in store for years to come. i have had the most loving and supportive coaches who have taught me some very valuable lessons and most of all how to have fun. i love each and every one of you and i wouldn’t trade yall for the world. ❤️🩵
