It's been 1 year since we released 'Matriarch' - please go and give it some love if you haven't heard it (full vid on YouTube too) 🤘🏼

Playing this tune makes me feel like I'm a phoenix erupting in flames and soaring with the strength of the women who came before me. Hopefully it can be your feminist anthem too 💪🏼

Ps. There is some morse code in there - let me know if you crack it!

So excited to finally be able to share the live performance of 'Cypress' with you - OUT NOW! ✨

This was part of a larger work 'PRESS' written for and premiered at @melbjazzfestival on Oct 20th, 2025 and marks the biggest and most meaningful gig I've played in my career so far.
The commission was inspired by a period of intensive study into Greek/Middle Eastern modes (is this obvious haha?) 🇬🇷
This performance was also shortlisted for an @apraamcos
@ausmusiccentre Art Music Award a few weeks ago for Best Jazz Performance, which makes me so proud 💛

I want to thank these incredible friends and creatives who made this happen:

A look into the colour grade of our most recent series.

More info:
We use a mix of cameras, some are BlackMagic and some Sony and some Panasonic. The black magics run through @davinciresolvestudios and then with touch ups in Premiere. All other cameras go straight into Premiere. The rounded crop, some sharpening or desharpening is added and the final finish is a lovely grain structure, blooming highlights, halation and a little gate weave. Some shots were emulating 35mm film, most exteriors are emulating 65mm, and some of the title treatments have more intense super 8 gate weave, breathe and damage, giving it a slight dance. This finish was using the @dehancer.film plugin for Premiere.

Angus Legg is a Naarm singer-songwriter crafting deeply vulnerable indie-folk driven by raw acoustic storytelling. Heavily influenced by modern pop-acoustic icons and his own parents history of religious music, Angus’ music features rich, cinematic arrangements and candid narratives weaving over many compositions. On stage, he seamlessly connects through stripped-back looping, soaring melodies, and authentic, self-aware charm.

Wild Gloriosa is the soulful solo project of Gloria Ragesh, a Geelong-based singer-songwriter who has rapidly become a standout voice in the Naarm contemporary music scene. Her music is a lush blend of neo-soul, R&B, and jazz, and her stage name is a direct tribute to her heritage, taken from the Gloriosa superba (flame lily), the state flower of Tamil Nadu.
