Welcome to my diary:

May was a very eventful month full of love, happiness, loss but most importantly family.

1-2: I got engaged! (Actually still gagged by that one) I’ve never been shown such a grand jester of love like this outside of God and my family. I’m grateful to have a person love me so much and show it daily.

3: Brayson had to do a big thing this year. 6th grade in the day and 7th at night to get into his right grade…it was tough but we made it through. This year he’s grown at least .5 inch every month. He was just a widdle baby!

4. My baby cousin got her masters degree! It was so fun celebrating her with family and her friends. She deserves everything good!

5-6: I would say “Best Mother’s Day ever” but I’m sure they’ll top it next year. A beautiful day in Nola with my beautiful family. We had a ball!

7-8: my baby sis graduated high school. I couldn’t help but reminisce, zoi and Bredeja were just babies now they’re old enough to go out with me! I can’t!!

9: the king himself. Sir Louie Deshawn. Me and my fiance’s love child after a fresh grooming lol

10: my beautiful granny dancing with Kenzie. We lost my madea (her mom) just the night before at 90 years young. We pulled up as soon as we could and taught her line dances to lighten her spirits!

11: just a big sissy supporting her little sissy’s dreams! Deja is gonna be an amazing photographer!

12-13: my grandad turned 75! How amazing! We celebrated him Memorial Day. He won’t smile for a picture but he’s always joking and laughing!

14-16: Mackenzie’s crossover ceremony. Floretta P. was amazing but Davidson here we come! I had her at 16, we’re literally growing together and it’s been the most insanely fulfilling ride!

17-19: celebrating 90 beautiful years! My great grandmother (my madea) Eddie B’s homegoing service!

The AWESOMELY SOPHISTICATED Alpha Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated completed a successful week at our 70th Boule! We were able to connect with pass Alpha Psi Initiates ‘69, ‘73, ‘74, ‘90, ‘97 , ‘16, and ‘17 and pass Grad advisor Dr. Martha Walker Stratton💚 Congratulations to our 30th International President and CEO, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover on a Job well done! Dr. Glover was a 1971 initiate into the Alpha Psi Chapter on the campus of Tennessee State University where she started her leadership as Chapter President. She has completed 5 targets during her tenure and raised over 5 million dollars for HBCUs. While we will miss our beloved 30th International President and CEO we are proud to welcome the next administration of our sorority! The 31st International President and CEO Danette Anthony Reed as she begins her 6 target programs and complete many FIRST! THE WORK OF THE ALPHA PSI CHAPTER HAS JUST BEGUN!💗💚

Jewel Wennette Saxon better known as J.Wennette is a young black female mogul in the making. A graduate of The Illustrious Tennessee State University with a degree in Mass Communications it’s only fitting that her life’s work is a direct component of that. She claims to be “The Best Friend Everyone Deserves” because her energy and realness is what most people are lacking from their friend group. Jewel believes God placed her on this earth to change and impact the lives of everyone she comes into contact with. You can better get to know Jewel through her YouTube Channel “Wennette’s World”. Jewel is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, initiated into the Awesomely Sophisticated Alpha Psi Chapter. An international committee chairperson over the Brother/Sister Keeper initiative (a youth mentoring program) for The Young People’s Division of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. In college she was Miss Black and Gold for the Beta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. In her past time Jewel enjoys swimming, reading, and long outdoor hikes.
