Client Highlights 150:

(1/15) Sean, 90kg (@dougie.deadlifts): 272.5kg/601lbs x 1 PR

We’ve been chasing a DL PR for quite a while now, with Sean’s previous ATPR of 270kg being set back in March of 2025. Fast forward to now and we finally secured it + have consistent momentum. We’ve historically avoided 2x/week sumo based on the results we got from it the last time we incorporated it, but we took a different approach to integrating it this time around and we haven’t looked back since. That + workloadmaxxing the crap out of the primary day following the top single with repeated topsets and heavier backdowns. Looking like 280kg+ should fall come meet day

Client Highlights 150:

(2/15) Jeffrey, 75kg (@j.ydomm): 285kg/628lbs x 1 PR

10kg ATPR and 15kg over the current meet PR when he last competed as an 82.5kg. Funny enough, this is just a couple days after Jeffrey’s 1 year anniversary of deadlifting, pulled 170kg x 3 during our first day on program together last year and has since added 115kg to that. Loving how well things are progressing with how little workload we’re running, as there’s SO much room to add more as time goes on and we adapt, but we’re in no rush. PR triple prior to this with 265kg looked like it moved with 3+ reps in the tank, and this 285 obviously had plenty of room as well. CNats is going to be fun this year

Client Highlights 150:

(3/15) Mav, 70kg (mavy.bunny): 150lbs x 1 PR

Another 5lb ATPR for Mavy Bunny. Nothing new or different compared to what we’ve been running for the past couple blocks, just continuing to milk small PRs as we control that rate of progression. One thing that we’ve definitely seen significant carryover with is progressing Mav to being able to do bodyweight dips from previously not being able to. As we build up the capacity to rep these out, we’ll eventually progress them into weighted dips, and hopefully keep the gainz rolling on bench alongside that

Client Highlights 150:

(4/15) Zach, 82.5kg (@ztdlifts): 300lbs x 1

Phenomenal single to close out the block just 5lbs under the ATPR and after a heavily underperforming W3 primary. Made some last minute adjustments into the W4 and we were able to walk out with ou

#UMLPL Athlete Meet Recap: Jeffrey Yiadom (@j.ydomm)

Meet: 2026 USAPL Collegiate Nationals

Coach: @tsp_andy

This was Jeffrey’s 2nd meet, with his first meet being just about 7 weeks prior. Training leading into this meet went absolutely phenomenal. We ran an elongated block due to the awkward timing coming off his first meet, and essentially just used the first 3-4 weeks of the block to bring fatigue back down to a normal baseline, then carefully allowed fitness to ramp back up with slower pacing. When it came time for the last 2 weeks of the block, we started to let it rip, taking larger jumps to bridge the gap from the lighter, earlier weeks of the block into ATPR territory. Jeffrey ended his heaviest week of training with ATPRs across the board, going 245kg on squat, 150kg on bench, and 275kg on deadlift, which added up to a 670kg training total. We clearly fell a bit short of this total on meet day, but this was expected given the externals Jeffrey was coming into the meet with. He ended up flying into New Orleans at 12:30am the morning of the competition, fell asleep at 2:00am, and woke up at 4:30am to get ready to head over to the venue. We doordashed a post weigh in meal for him as he came with absolutely nothing, no food or water, just good vibes. Given the 77.7kg weigh in and how well he did in the grand scheme of things, we are discussing the potential of having Jeffrey compete at 75kg the next time we step on the platform, which won’t be until the fall semester next year. With all the circumstances considered, I could not be happier with how well he did at his first national level meet, and I’m SUPER excited to see what we’ll be able to bring to the platform for next year’s CNats (Hopefully this will include an earlier flight and some actual meet day supplies)

Jeffrey, 82.5kg (@j.ydomm): 245kg/540lbs x 1 PR
Super easy 12.5kg ATPR for Jeffrey in prep for CNats. Although we ended up squatting 5kg less than this on the platform this past weekend, that was not at all due to a lack of strength on the day. Just unfortunate circumstances of externals we were dealt. Couldn’t be happier with progress we’re seeing on squat right now so nothing really will be changing post meet

Kevin, 75kg (@kv2.4): 227.5kg/501lbs x 2
2.5kg under the best double moving FIRE. Kev’s squats have been a little underwhelming lately with how well deadlifts have been progressing / ever since we switched over to conventional, so I opted for a large overhaul to his squat layout this block and it paid off beautifully. Bumped frequency up from 2x to 3x, and increased overall workload. Strongest he has been in months here

Kai, 100kg (@chupuff): 195kg/430lbs x 1
Strongest block to date we’ve had across all 3 lifts, just 2.5kg off the ATPR squat here and 7.5kg over the current meet PR. Getting access to a pendulum squat + pushing our secondary day harder seemed to be a missing link for getting the top end to finally show up. Very excited to keep momentum going

David, 82.5kg (@davidsjohnsonn): 172.5kg/380lbs x 1 PR
Nice little 2.5kg pause squat PR in addition to some good volume PRs following this on the backdowns. Successfully got squat training back on track after some back pain sprung up on us. Will be placing a large emphasis this upcoming block on making some further improvements to the squat pattern to pave the path for increasing work capacity in the future

Danyal, 105kg (@danyalvinsmoke): 245kg/540lbs x 4 PR
5kg PR set of 4 here while Danyal is in the depths of school hell right now. Squat is taking a pretty massive hit from the consistently bad externals, but we’re getting by with bench and still seeing good progress on deads. Have been seeing good results from conventional on the secondary

Brian, 100kg (@bcerezo_): 290kg/640lbs x 1 PR
~5kg ATPR and 10kg over the meet PR. Brian missed this same weight at MA States back in November, so to see him crush this with room in the tank AND after a huge DL ATPR earlier on in the week is so promising. We haven’t touched our squat micro since B1, and since we’ve hit multiple PRs on both the primary and secondary every single block so far. Just gonna keep the ball rolling leading into Nats

Zack, 90kg (@silent_thunder1349): 305lbs x 1 PR
+10lb ATPR coming off of last block’s +5lb ATPR. Couldn’t be happier with the rate that Zack’s bench seems to be progressing at, and we’ll be looking to take a stab at the big ol 315 to cap off our first macro in this next block

Jeffrey, 82.5kg (@j.ydomm): 275kg/606lbs x 1 PR
+17.5kg ATPR and 17.5kg over the current meet PR that was set just about 6-ish weeks ago (Which was a 7.5kg ATPR at the time). Jeff is progressing at an absolutely insane rate. Should be seeing some strong SQ and BP ATPRs later this week as well, and then hopefully adding more to those on the platform next week for CNats

Seyla, 125kg (@seylasv): 255lbs x 2 PR
Extremely casual double PR with a strong single ATPR tie w/ 275lbs coming after. Based on how things are moving right now, I’m guessing the top end is closer to the 290-300lbs range, which is nuts considering we’re only about 7 weeks in at this point. Seyla said that “On my life im a 400 bencher now”, so it’s safe to say confidence is high going into this next block

Rob, 90kg (@rsikes): 190kg/418lbs x 1
Still not necessarily back in ATPR territory, but making absolutely huge strides towards it. This is the most Rob has pulled since we started together AND without straps as well. Super pumped to see our layout changes yielding good results this block, as we now have both his primary SQ and primary DL stacked onto the same session. With these changes, we’ll be able to fill in the gaps of workload we were struggling to fill before due to time constraints in the gym
