Do you know what can happen in a year? These photos can show you. I made the original skit of Ballelujah last July, no budget just vibes, I had 5 IcyHot patches on because my body aching, and I almost canceled the shoot because I didn’t think the story would resonate. That skit led to funding from the city for the full short film in May. And now, I can say thank you @wwwfilmtv and @mspeacherino for putting on such a great event, with even better people and lovers of film of last weekend! Yall really put a brother on. From Texas to LA. The great @sirabiola gave me a layup Q&A as well. The audience was spectacular, the filmmakers were so kind and talented, and Ballelujah received a cash “surprize”! The best part was the reaction from the crowd. The laughter made the entire project worth it. Ballelujah is the gift that keeps on giving. I don’t usually do dumps. Ball up! Dressed by: my dad lol. He finally got see one of my projects on a big screen. Kyrie Irving signed the shoe that’s in the film! The War Room. The original cast and crew for the 1 minute skit! Happy Ori. SIDE EFFECTS (Short Film BTS) Day 4 of Filming We’re thankful for our friends at @everydayworkscoffee that allowed us to use the space and shoot the ending of the film there. We filled the store with our talented friends as the background shoppers and were glad to have them all be apart of this. This was one of the more tame days of all the days we filmed but we did end up doing a really creative shot (you can see in the second slide) where we used a macro lens to focus on Jerry’s eye and show the Goats Milk he was holding. Anyways, super excited and have some big announcements coming soon regarding the film, will be revealing the official poster, and information on our first screening date this week! Our objective was to capture the exact moment noisy negligence collides with quiet innocence- and where accountability begins. I believe the mission was accomplished. . .
