Our upcoming exhibition “Little Joe’s Kitchen” by Jose Tinoco will open on October 24th. On display in our living room will be a rasterized collage Xerox printed by the artist’s zine press Mattazine Society.

In addition to this work, on opening day Jose will prepare a three course menu of his signature vegetarian Indian and California style cooking. One of a kind tableware by Catalina Bulgach will be displayed at the dinner table.

What a crazy weekend! I haven’t been personal joy posting so it’s time for a bit of that. I’m pleasantly surprised and honored at all the interest and appreciation around the installation @printedmatter_artbookfairs
Thank you @__s.gp @sun__pix for the inclusion and invitation. These fairs always inject me with so much inspiration and new friendship. My brain is mush but my heart is full. I appreciate all your conversations and kinship. I believe it’s important to spotlight and platform queer life in print past and contemporary. You cannot gate keep history and we have to view things with a critical eye to create better versions of ourselves and representation. What a year it’s been! Feeling blessed and grateful for all the amazing opportunities that have come my way. I’ve embarked on a move out west, had my residency extended, 2 solo shows, and got the opportunity to connect and bridge community in LA.

Thank you to my loved ones back at home for holding me down and seeing me off, shout out to my puti’s who came out west to visit and ensure I was good, and to those who travelled across the country and world to come see my show. Thank you to the Tom of Finland Foundation for seeing in me what I’ve been SCARED to show the world. Thank you to my Muses, Lovers, and the cuties In-Between from coast to coast for trusting me with your image and your bodies.

The last few months have had me anxious, nervous, maybe even psychotic…. yet filled with excitement. I know my Mumsie is looking down so proud knowing I accomplished exactly what I said I would.

One of the happiest moments in 2025 was the opening day of my solo show at @tomoffinlandfoundation where by then I had spent 3 months researching, making art and learning about myself surrounded by the most wonderful people.
And so much was that, that I am coming back to repeat it all and more. Happy to say I will be a returning artist in residency for this years winter edition.
From February 10th until end of April.

Cant wait to see you LA friends and family. Let’s hang out and make some art together. 🌴

💛 Mattazine Society is a Los Angeles-based queer zine collective created by Mark Timothy Hayward and Jose Tinoco. They are cross generational and diverse in scope promoting old-school techniques and queer-core/punk rock aesthetics. Their zine series, “For the Love of...,” highlights queer personalities on the edge of mainstream culture. Their name is a play on the Mattachine Society, an American gay rights organization founded in 1950.
