Welp this meet didn’t go as planned and the way I wanted. Got injured 3 days out (my neck/shoulder), couldn’t bench. Will come back stronger and better!

I didn’t think I belonged there👇

This competition was huge for me, because honestly I didn’t think I deserved to be there.

My bench has always been my strong point, but squat and deadlift, not so much.

But the truth is, lifts aside, the deeper meaning is how I viewed myself.

See, it’s easy to overlook your true self-worth.

Thinking you’re not good enough to take a risk on yourself.
 To bet on yourself.

This might be investing in a fitness coach.

Even starting and going all in on your fitness journey to better yourself.

In my case, I didn’t think I deserved to be at the state championship.

As long as I can remember, my mindset’s been “If I can’t be one of the best… what’s the point?”

Which is why a part of me wanted to stop competing.

But what I learned from this competition is not only the importance of patience in improving… but to believe in yourself.

As I said before, leading up to this competition, I faced some of the most stress I ever have in my life.

Having trouble sleeping with all the anxiety.

But yet, the day of, I showed up and gave it my all.

I realized…

I am worthy. I am enough. And I can be one of the best.

So whenever you’re in doubt, look inwards.

Think about where you’re at and where you want to go.

Believe in yourself, because no one else can do it for you.

You’re capable of more than you know.

I wanted to take podium at New York State but I got sick during the last week of prep. I couldn’t pull for the win (unfortunately). However, I did out dot and out bench @munchthelax my coach at this meet. But I still have to give my thanks to my coach for the prep/handling and @liz.kgs for co-handling. Also thanks, @n.icolechan for supporting.
Shout out to my boy @jayphysiq_ / @j2.visual for traveling up to Albany to help me with media. Look out for his meme of me failing my third deadlift.
Overall , I’m beat, off season here I come.
