The world’s first audiobook trainers brought to you by @hyphntfootwear x @spotifyuk x @macmillankidsuk

Changing how young people and youth engage with stories, this new discovery mechanism brings together fashion and storytelling straight to their feet.

Research cited in the launch shows that 47% of children and young people listen to audiobooks, podcasts, or both, with more than half of these listeners tuning in at least weekly.

What if your shoes could tell you a story? 👟🎧

We’ve joined forces with @hyphntfootwear and @spotifyuk to launch the world’s first audiobook trainers for the National Year of Reading! @go_all_in_2026

The new HYPHNT ‘Nova’ junior trainer features embedded NFC technology. A simple tap of a smartphone against the shoe instantly launches the Spotify app to play John Patrick Green’s bestselling InvestiGators series, with new stories set to unlock over time on the exact same pair.

How it works:

📲 Tap a smartphone against the shoe
🔊 Launch the audiobook on Spotify
🐊 Step straight into Mango and Brash's latest adventure

Nearly half of young people now listen to audiobooks, and over a third say audiobooks actively sparked their interest in reading more broadly, so we’re teaming up with HYPHNT and Spotify to show that reading truly can take you anywhere!

Preorder through the link in our bio to get your hands on a pair!
