Big training pr for @j3ck0_ben

You must build capacity to handle heavy weights multiple times

You will need it on meet day

I will die on the hill of your accessories are more important than the main movement

Your accessories indicate where you are and are responsible for eliminating weak points

@j3ck0_ben with a big single from this week, have to expose yourself to heavy reps often to build the ability to strain, how you get there is important

Maxing out every week won’t get it done

@j3ck0_ben with a big day under the bar, this is two days in a row of training PRs for him.

The lifters who handle the heavy weights the most often will get the best results.

That takes careful planning and an athlete willing to work.

Squat before you pull:

All of my athletes will do some type of squat variation before their deadlifts, too many reasons and benefits to not do it

@coachclarkwazzu front squatting for better trunk and quad strength

@j3ck0_ben front squatting for upper back strength, thoracic control, and leg drive

@leonidasbarbell SSB front squatting because a front rack is really hard for him, quad strength, and trunk strength

@dock_daniel pause SSB squats for torso strength, foot pressure, and to auto regulate his intensity

@j3ck0_ben has made a lot of improvements on his pull-ups so far. These need to be a priority in your training.

Eccentric and iso reps

Bodyweight reps

Weighted reps

Can’t get better if we don’t take coaching and make changes.

Really proud of the work that @j3ck0_ben has done so far.

The lifters who handle heavy weights in training most often AND recover from it make the most progress, how you get there and get that accomplished is important though

@j3ck0_ben doing a great job with his pulls this week, just give him time and he’s gonna have a huge deadlift

treat yourself…
(doesn’t have to be a big gesture, but do it)
today, mine is a cup of jamaican blue coffee… twice now, when @ravenlunatic1027 and i have traveled, we’ve come home w/an lb of coffee from where we had our “sacred” first sips… on the way home saturday, w/the still fresh memory of sand between my toes + slow mornings on my mind, (at the airport, eye roll) i got “swindled” into a bag of bob marley coffee lol… we save “vacation” coffee for sundays so we can share it together… i just made myself a 1/2 press as a treat, just because… treat yourself to something today… if ya do, and wanna share, lmk #enjoy your day, remember to eat something delicious* (maybe it’s your treat!) ox.s

*need/want help with that, give me a shout
