This has probably been a long time coming.

About 10 years ago, part of our family’s story was told through a documentary after we won a DirecTV competition. But as meaningful as that was, there was so much of the story we never got to tell.

The origins. How three brothers from Kansas City found the game. The sacrifices our mother and grandmother made. The wins and losses. The mistakes. The pressure. Family. Brotherhood. Basketball. And ultimately, figuring out who you are when the game can no longer define you.

After the response I received from my conversation on the @kansascitybucketlist podcast— and thank you, Mindy, for giving me the space to open up — I realized it might finally be time to tell the entire story.

So I’ve started putting together the framework for Rush Brothers, a memoir told from my perspective about our journey — where we came from, what we went through, and where life has taken us today.

There are still a lot of conversations to have. I want to sit down with my brothers, revisit memories, and make sure we tell this story the right way. But the process has officially started.

Three brothers. One game. A lifetime of impact.

And I’m putting this out there intentionally: if you know any publishers or literary agents who can help us bring this story to life, please DM me their information or tag them below. I’d love to start those conversations.

Our story is bigger than basketball.

Rush Brothers — coming soon.
