This album will always be important to me. This album broke me and kept me alive. This album was terrible timing and equally needed. An album written about grief that ultimately ended up fueled by immense grief. Working on this hurt every day, but I put it into the world with gratitude. There is no way this one could have been done perfectly, but we did our best. I put my head down for the last 10 months and worked. Julian, I love you deeply. I am proud of the man you have become. My bubble with you really personifies the title of this record for me. Our nuclear family, our extended family and our chosen family. We are Alone Together. Show Me the Body is my favorite band. CORPUS @corpus.nyc In Broad Daylight, 2022. Festival Flyer. Artwork by Elijah Maura @elijahmaura and Jason Fox @j4sonfox In Broad Daylight was a one-day festival organized by CORPUS and held at Knockdown Center in Queens on July 10, 2022. The lineup included performances by Show Me The Body, Zelooperz, Lustsick Puppy, WiFiGawd, and others. Founded in New York in 2017 by members of Show Me The Body @showmethebody and an expanding network of musicians, artists, designers, photographers, and organizers, CORPUS developed as a multidisciplinary platform spanning music, publishing, mutual aid, radio, community programming, and cultural events. Through festivals, printed matter, exhibitions, and collaborative projects, the collective has documented and supported the intersections of independent music, contemporary art, and youth culture in New York. In Broad Daylight marked CORPUS’s first large-scale public festival and remains an early example of the organization’s broader cultural programming.

Show Me The Body have revealed the cover art for their upcoming album “Alone Together,” set for release on July 10. The band shared that the artwork continues their history of physically demanding, concept-driven visuals. Past covers and rollouts have included filming on top of buildings, aerial shoots from helicopter setups, and staged imagery involving burning wooden structures. According to photographer Asha, who has shot the band’s visual work on 35mm film, the new cover was the most challenging yet. For Alone Together, the concept centered around working with a large flock of pigeons. The band described researching local pigeon communities, people who feed, race, and breed pigeons across urban environments, and incorporating that world into the shoot. They attempted multiple times in difficult winter conditions, spreading food to guide the birds, but said the pigeons largely ignored direction, requiring several reshoots. The final cover image came from their last attempt after multiple failed sessions. In their statement, the band emphasized that the process itself is part of the meaning behind the artwork. The difficulty, repetition, and unpredictability reflect their broader creative approach. As they put it, their work is often guided by pushing through challenging conditions, where the struggle to achieve the image becomes as important as the image itself.
