Getting ready to take the next steps in wedding planning and sign on with a wedding planner? In my experience, here are some red (and green!) flags to look out for:

✅ Able to clearly articulate their services, packages, and pricing
✅ Robust contract in place that protects all parties
✅ Low barrier-- they don't make it hard for you to book them! Process is straightforward, not a lot of hoops to jump through, and you feel they bring value to the table FROM THE GET GO

❌ Anyone who places limits on the amount of times you're allowed to contact them leading up to your day. Sorry, but healthy boundaries can co-exist with bountiful communication.
❌ Packages with a set amount of service hours per day. Your wedding day emergencies will not only occur between the hours of 12-8:00p.
❌ People who make you feel like shit for not spending a certain amount of money. Beautiful weddings occur at all price points. While I'll be real with why we can't feasibly do certain things with certain budgets, it's literally MY JOB to get creative with how we can achieve the same ambience and evoke the feeling you're after.
