Congratulations to every Somos athlete who raced at HYROX Toronto this past weekend. You put in the work, showed up, and gave it everything on race day.

And the Somos Family? Absolutely unmatched.

The support in that venue was bar none the best there. The cheering, the high-fives, the encouragement, the noise, all of it. We’re pretty lucky to have a crew that shows up for each other like that 🥹 Truly wish we could add every single one of you to this post!! (Tag the Somos Crew below)

There were PBs, first races, hard-earned finishes, happy tears, questionable race decisions 😂 and a whole lot of fun.

Congratulations to the entire Somos crew competing at Hyrox Toronto this weekend. Super proud of all your hard work leading up to the event and how you all executed amazing races.

Our Team of 36 racers had 21 first timers, some of which were first time solo and some first time double, produced 17 PR’s across the weekend.

You should all proud of your accomplishment and I’m excited to help coach you to prepare for your next one and see how many more PR’s are out there.

KEEP CHASING…

One of my favorite speeches is Matthew McConaughey’s “My Hero” speech.

When he was asked who his hero was, he didn’t name an athlete, actor, or billionaire.

He said his hero was himself… 10 years in the future.

Because every time he gets closer, that version moves another 10 years ahead.

That’s the point.

You’re never supposed to catch your hero.

You’re supposed to keep chasing the man you’re capable of becoming.

I don’t compare myself to other dads.
I don’t compare myself to other athletes.
I don’t compare myself to other coaches.

I compare myself to the man I was yesterday.

Every workout.
Every early morning.
Every hard decision.
Every promise you keep to yourself…

That’s one more step toward becoming the person your family deserves.

The chase never ends—and that’s exactly what makes it worth it.
