So happy to welcome RIVER to the family!!! 🦦✨

We adopted her last week from San Jacinto Shelter in Riverside County… this sweet girl was dumped at 13 weeks old in a box with three of her litter mates. She came home with Covid, intestinal parasites, and tape worms, but she’s now back to full puppy strength and will enjoy the life of a showgirl. 🎠

Thank you to @riversidecountyanimalservices for treating and vaccinating her, and for all the work you do finding great homes for animals. 🐾

Five years ago my first feature film @saviorsfilm was released! And now, it’s free to watch for Amazon Prime subscribers!

Even more fun, someone decided to re-cut the intro to the film without asking! I found out by watching it. I’m trying to figure out who and how and why this happened, but until then, consider this your opportunity to watch SAVIORS: THE PRIME VARIANT! If you work for @cinedigm_ent drop me a DM.

A few facts:
— The film is legitimately shot in one-take. We shot it 6.5 times, and this is take numero five.

— This film was made by really talented people, all of whom were at the very beginnings of their careers, myself included. We made it in a weekend, mostly through favors and phone calls.

— I have not made a dime on this movie, and have limited insight into who is actually making money on the film. I am trying to find out, and being patient… cue Fugazi.

At the time this was shot I felt like my skin was on fire and that I had to go direct something I’d written. So, I teamed up with Director of Photography @rasapartin to shoot what would be a true one-take feature based on my experiences going toe-to-toe with neo-Nazis in the punk scene.

Trump was in office and racists felt emboldened to come out of hiding. Of course, the scariest part about emboldened racists isn’t their hatred. That part is obvious. Painfully familiar. For me, the scariest part was that they weren’t stupid. They were methodical, patient, and in many cases organized. So, during this time I was left wondering how our resistance to them might be co-opted, used for recruitment, or worse. This film reflects those fears. It is not for the feint of heart or easily triggered.
