Four months ago, I packed up my life and bet on a new chapter in Brooklyn. New city, new routine, new mindset. Somewhere in the middle of that transition, I decided to challenge myself in a way I never had before—run my first race. What started as a goal quickly became a commitment. I joined a run club (@narc.nyc) which allowed me to start to build community and train properly. 3–4 runs a week, showing up consistently—even on those cold 6:30am mornings when I was tempted to hit snooze. But every early wake-up, every long run, every moment I wanted to quit… built something in me I didn’t have before. This wasn’t just about 13.1 miles. It was about proving to myself that I can start something unfamiliar, stay disciplined, and finish strong (even hitting my sub 2 hour goal). First race in the books, and definitely not the last. 🏅 Brooklyn is really starting to change me… and this medal is just the beginning. Thankful for everyone that has poured into me during this journey! Life is good…
