Did that really happen in 2023?

My dude @j_th0mas came into 2023 with one goal in mind, to be a better husband, father, friend, and man.

Don’t get me wrong, Justin was already amazing at all those things, but he knew he could improve the quality of his life & his relationships, by focusing on his health & fitness.

And even though Justin lost ALL THE WEIGHT, his increases in strength have been truly unreal. Watching this guy crush his squats, bench, and pull-ups, has me working harder.

He did all of this as father of 2 young kids, working 2 demanding jobs, being active in his community, and showing up as a supportive & loving husband to his wife

I couldn’t be more proud of this guys disciple and work ethic.

As his coach, I had Justin focused on a high protein nutritional approach, getting in daily movement, drinking a gallon of water daily, and checking in weekly using the @1stphorm app.

No fad diet.

No wrap.

No cleanses.

No eliminated food groups.

No mandatory shakes.

Real food.

Real results.

If you’re interested in getting similar results as Justin by taking back your life in 2024, reach out NOW. I’m already taking on clients for 2024.

And like I mentioned yesterday, keep it right here all week.

I plan on continuing to sharing the results of my most successful clients from 2023.

Excuse me while I feel myself for a moment, and post my first “shirtless” photo since shoulder surgery 19 weeks ago.

And yeah, I know…my physique ain’t shit. I’ve lost a lot of size to atrophy, but to be able to stay this lean at 51 years old through that process? I’m pretty dang happy.

In fact, one of my clients asked me how I’m able to have/maintain abs without “doing abs”.

It’s a 2 part answer.

Part 1. “Abs are made in the kitchen”.

Part 2. ”Proper bracing on all resistance training movements”.

As I thought about those answers, it dawned on me how disingenuous those answers are/could be.

The truth? It’s a lot more than just those two things for sure.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe in both of those answers, but that’s only half the story.

What most people don’t understand, is that I have been getting after this journey my entire life.

As a kid, I was very active and did everything and anything I could get away with that was physically challenging. I wasn’t an athlete, but I was very athletic.

In high school, I was a cross country and track athlete. Plus, I played basketball year round.

Then I joined the army at 18, and spent the next 31 years doing physical fitness, carrying heavy loads on my back, and spending most of my days in a very physically, demanding occupation.

Then of course, I spent 5 to 6 years (while in the Army) as a physique competitor, where I truly focused on making my abdominals more visible through specific exercises.

Finally, you can see my abs because I’ve been adhering to a nutrition plan for double digit years.

Genetics? Doesn’t hurt. But you still gotta work. It’s not a given. Hell swipe left to see what my physique looked like in 2008.

So for those of you wondering why you can’t see your abs, you really shouldn’t expect to after sticking to a plan for a short time. It takes time. It takes years.
