Yesterday I ran my first 10K. 🥹🤍

I’m learning that I don’t have to be the fastest or the strongest. I just have to keep showing up, putting in the miles, and proving to myself that I can do things I once thought weren’t for me.

6.2 miles may not seem like much to some, but this one meant a lot to me.

First 10K in the books. 🏃🏻‍♀️✨ would not be able to have done it without my partner in crime @jaasmiiineee

And apparently… I’m a runner now.

Ayer corrí mi primer 10K. 🥹🤍

Estoy aprendiendo que no tengo que ser la más rápida ni la más fuerte. Solo tengo que seguir presentándome, sumando millas y demostrándome a mí misma que soy capaz de hacer cosas que antes pensaba que simplemente no eran para mí.

6.2 millas quizás no parezcan mucho para algunos, pero para mí significaron muchísimo.

Primer 10K oficialmente en los libros. 🏃🏻‍♀️✨ Y definitivamente no lo habría logrado sin mi partner in crime @jaasmiiineee 🤍

Y aparentemente… ahora soy corredora. 🥹🏃🏻‍♀️

This week felt different. ❤️‍🩹🇨🇴

There’s something incredibly difficult about being thousands of miles away from your country while watching your people hurt and feeling like your heart and mind are somewhere completely different from where your body is.

Monday, I was in shock. Tuesday, I emotionally collapsed. By Wednesday, I knew I needed to turn those feelings into action.

And somehow, in the middle of it all, life here kept moving. I still went to work. I still showed up for my responsibilities. I still worked out, and continued living my life here… all while a part of me was constantly in Colombia. It has been such a strange feeling to hold gratitude for the life in front of me and heartbreak for what is happening back home at the same time.

But this week also reminded me how powerful community can be. I watched some of the people closest to me immediately step up, ask how they could help, donate, share, and come together with me to provide aid to people they may never even meet. That is something I will never forget.

Difficult moments have a way of showing you who genuinely cares, not only about you, but about the things that matter deeply to you. To every single person who showed up for Colombia in any way: thank you. From the bottom of my heart. 🤍

Going into this new week, I know I can’t fix everything. But I can keep doing something.

One donation, one box, one conversation, one person at a time.

My body may be here, but my heart is in Colombia. Always. 🇨🇴❤️
