I can still remember exactly where I was when my heart cracked open and this song came out. I took it to @jabenation and together we finished it

Got to HANG (literally and figuratively) with some friends today @jabenation Green House Studio. Myself, @tcraven and @fostermcginty had a nice day hanging out with our buddy Jabe. All 3 of these guys are excellent musicians and producers and have amazing studios so I’m not sure why they let a bass player hang around other than comic relief Lol. If you need any music production, recording or mixing, you can’t go wrong hiring one of these guys or hire all of them at once! Nice hang fellas

Here’s why you show up.

Show up to the sold-out show. Get that ticket you didn’t think you’d get. Swap the high-top table offer for the seat up front with some random guy… who might just later walk on stage and sing his debut song 😳 🙌🏻

Sometimes the unexpected is exactly where the light lives. Where the good is… where you start to find your purpose hiding in plain sight✨

Nashville recently handed me a whole lot of that, bottled up in two spontaneous nights. The @nittygrittydirtband at the @opry | The song ‘Bless the Broken Road’ finding me twice in 24 hours… first sung by the man who co-wrote it in 1994, then the next night by another co-writer and his son on the same stage. A sold-out show at @listeningroomcafe with incredibly talented songwriters @marcushummon @levihummon @discohiker and @jabenation where Marcus opened the night with ‘Cowboy Take Me Away,’ a song he co-wrote and one I’ve loved out loud for so many years.

And….. a table for two with @sampalladio (Gunnar Scott from the hit TV series, Nashville), now with @3686records and debuting his new song Glitter.

Every wrong turn. Every right turn. Every heartbreak. Every blessing. Every adventure. Every solo trip. Every sold-out show with a seat that somehow becomes available. Every door that closes but then… 🚪 the one that opens.

It’s all glitter……… sprinkled along a road that’s a little more broken than I ever expected, and a lot more beautiful than I could have guessed. And as for that cowboy? He may be a few exits down the road, but the love and life are in every mile… 🏔️🤍
