Fire Island Pines. Photos from September, then October (right now, in fact), and then August, and finally July (which I took on film). We are out for our last weekend of the year. It’s always the most beautiful; it’s always the hardest. We brought Hugo all but one week (and that week without him we did all the late-night things we used to do). It means something now to me quite different than what it meant when we first washed up into this village. It’s home.

In today’s marginalized world, celebrating Black Men is a cause that often goes overlooked, unnoticed, or is outright dismissed… But to have our efforts supported and reflected in @VOGUEmagazine —thee biggest fashion magazine in the world— is a literal icing on the cake!

Building @BrotherMagZine —a sophisticated, digital-first men’s fashion, grooming, and lifestyle publication— has been a true labor of love because we’re an outlet (and a team) that celebrates today’s diverse representation of manhood, creativity, and community. And since last year’s launch of our #StyleKings Fashion Week activation, we’ve been Blessed to see an increase in attention and interest of what we’re creating.

What an incredible night last week as we celebrated on gorgeous rooftop of @wallstreet.hotelnyc in honor of dearly departed friend with fundraiser for Perry Moore HERO Fund & @hetrickmartin. I couldn’t be more honored to partner with @hunterbhill, HMI, @amyharclerode @irainthevillage and everyone at Hetrick-Martin to make this important evening happen. And to support the community with much needed scholarship funds + critical mental health resources for LGTBQIA+ youth thru HMI’s life changing programs.

The 152nd Run for the Roses 🌹 was one to remember. We celebrated with @maxwellsocial for a very proper watch party. Friends gathered in the Tribeca Club with banjo music, played betting’s games, ate Kentucky hot browns, and sipped @woodfordreserve mint juleps under many a Gigi Burris brim.
