Before August slips away.

Especially in this birthday month, a little reminder to myself that I’m not just a mum or a wife. I’m still me, too. 🤍

A little belated birthday treat from my dear Jacey, over our shared love for matcha. 🎀🍵✨

Spent a dreamy afternoon at Fullerton Bay Hotel’s Matcha Expression High Tea, enjoying delicate creations made with premium usucha-grade matcha from Uji, Kyoto, and with Marina Bay Sands beautifully in view ✨🌿🤍

We ordered a mix of the regular and gluten-free spread so we could taste our way through the different matcha creations — naturally, we had to try a little of everything. 🍵✨

I had only asked for “a helium balloon”… and somehow received a whole bunch of my favourite Hello Kitty balloons instead. 🥹🎀 Such a simple request, but such a thoughtful surprise.

And a heartfelt thank you to my hubby and Dad for taking over mummy duties and giving me this little pocket of “time-off”. 🤍 Grateful for an afternoon of good matcha, meaningful conversations, laughter and simply enjoying a little moment for myself. ✨

Happy very belated birthday!
Even this post is belated 😅

Felt like a milestone when I managed to find time to plan and celebrate a very belated birthday for @jacey_lyy some 3 months after the actual date 🤭

Twins Motherhood made me felt like I’ve lost friends, not sure if fellow new mums feel/felt that too. Perhaps it’s just me.

On my end, it’s so hard to confidently promise any date in advance because baby care arrangements ain’t something that I can easily throw out like a standing order (as I wish) days, weeks or months in advance. Any last minute baby (&/carer) emergency can easily wipeout the entire day schedule.

Maybe, on the other end, I think, some might just politely assume and leave overwhelmed new mums like me alone as we most definitely are lacking of time/sleep/help/etc. Not exactly wrong, but I guess, a thought or an attempt to meet (even if bound to fail) would be nice.

Anyway, to summarise my blabbering… thanks for understanding & waiting for me (and for the right Afternoon Tea menu to be launched)! 💕 This aesthetically pleasing & brilliantly tasteful Japanese-French Botanical Afternoon tea is definitely worth the wait, anyway!

Happy +1 fruitful year in your pocket and also +1 to our friendship!
