Happy birthday to this guy, who doesn’t like AARP jokes as much as you might think.

One year ago, on the first full moon of Spring, we creatively expressed ourselves and then dined as a team, under the night sky at @wrensmoor!

Welcome to the enchanting Wrensmoor Castle, an exquisite Los Angeles estate wedding venue that sets the stage for an unforgettable Maximalist Al Fresco Dinner Party. The dinner table was set with colorful garden blooms, hand-painted taper candles, candelabras, damask linens, velvet napkins, patterned china, bookmark-style name cards/menus, custom artisanal chocolate favors, and pavlova for dessert.

This amazing film by @leiraproductions is best viewed in horizontal format on my website!! @wrensmoor is a private estate venue located just east of downtown Los Angeles. Built circa 1925 in the style of a French Pyrenees Château, this gated, 9 bedroom 8500 sq. ft. mansion sits on a 2.7 acre hill, with lush lawns and 360 degree views. @chefcordelia is the operator and exclusive caterer! The estate can host weddings, family reunions, retreats, and more. When you book Wrensmoor Castle for your event, 22 VIP guests can check-in on Friday afternoon and check-out on Sunday morning!

I was so excited to plan and design this colorful, luxe, maximalist, decadent, al fresco dinner party. We set the table with textured citron damask linens and velvet lavender napkins from @luxe_linen. We selected floral patterned plates, emerald ribbed glassware, and ivory bistro flatware from @casadeperrin. We paired this with the wrought iron bistro chairs from @brighteventrentals. @maison__blanche__ designed two-sided bookmark-style name cards that doubled as a menu. @inessanicholsdesign’s abundant and colorful garden blooms brought the table to life and paired beautifully with her hand-painted leaf taper candles that decorated the dramatic candelabras.

Guests enjoyed a delicious family-style al fresco meal while @dartcollective musicians gently played in the background. The chicken liver terrine with balsamic onion jam, pickled mustard seeds, served on crusty bread was a wow dinner moment. Guests enjoyed green garlic risotto, a whole snapper, farmers market veggies, a gem lettuce salad, and various bottles of wine.

@nicolebakescakes made a delicious fresh berry pavlova dessert and she hand crafted artisanal chocolate bars for each guest to take home.

@victoriagoldphotography took incredible digital and film photos!
