This past Tuesday was the 87th birthday of a true champion of change and man of God, Pastor Emeritus Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker Sr., Of Canaan Baptist Church of Christ. As my godsister Carmen reminded us, "Dr. Walker is a National Civil Rights Leader, Theologian, former Chief of Staff to Dr Martin Luther King Jr and inducted into the Civil Rights Walk of Fame in Atlanta." He also served as the National Action Network Chairman of the Board for many years and he was my pastor since 1996, and in my heart he always will be. He wasnt just a leader, he was a leader of lions and eagles. Such stature, such wisdom, such class, such faith, such courage, such love... Thank you Pastor Walker for always being you and for your sacrifice for our people. Jai or @jchelemrie, please share this message with him and give him our love and appreciation! #Greatness #ChampionOfChange #CivilRightsPioneer #HarlemsGreatest #WyattTeeWalker #Theologian #Author #Teacher #Preacher #Father #Hero #Legendary #King #FlashbackFriday #NeverCanForget #ThankYou
