25.3 and full Open recap coming in today’s newsletter - highlights, Spirit of the Open, Rookie of the Year, and unofficially @schulzee13 and Ash banks moving on the Semifinals. But first read about why @juliexanna - pic here from 25.1 by @lisahaefnerphoto - was our “Performance of the Week” for the last Open workout of the season (and swipe to see some 25.3 stats*)!

Coming off the back of using the 35# DB for the first time in 25.1, Julie put forth our favorite output of this year’s final week. 25.3 presented quite a task for her, as BOTH Rx wall walks and the 155# deadlift were things she had not done previously. But on a wild Friday night, Julie showed incredible persistence, making it not through 1 or 2 wall walks but all of the initial 5 - already such a win! She then calmly rowed 50 cals…and made ANOTHER five! Coming off those at 18:23, getting 1 deadlift at 155# was the target; Julie proceeded to make 1, then 2, then 3, and finished with FOUR in the final ~90 seconds. WOW! In her second Open, we saw Julie Rx two of the three workouts (first 2 Rx!), cut her worldwide output/ranking in HALF from 2024, and set such a great tone for herself going forward in 2025. We are so proud of you, Julie - congrats on such on a fantastic 25.3 and Open overall!

25.3 Fun facts
We had 9 athletes crack 90% in the Open age group leaderboard, our most of any workout in the 2025 Open. Our median athletes - “average” would be 50% - were 58% for boys (149 reps) and 57% for ladies (129 reps). And our ladies fared particularly well (what else is new?!) as 35% of our women got into the second row compared to 28% worldwide, and 18% of our ladies finished the workout compared to 14% worldwide. Crushed it!

*gahhh cut and paste issue: @shankamania was 93% in her age group in 25.3 and 90% overall in age group. Sorry Lindsey! #damnit

Details to come on individual and team Semis, Community Cup, etc! #crossfitwashpark #cfwpfamily #betterthanyesterday #trusttheprocess

See today’s newsletter for the full 25.1 recap, but read below why Greg P was named our “Performance of the Week” (and swipe to see some top Scores). The pic of @gsproctor is from 23.1, and fitting he’s shown in a 2016 CFWP Open shirt as 2025 is Greg’s ELEVENTH Open, all with us at CFWP!

This season is his first in the 55-59 age group, and quite literally Greg is the only 55 year old I’ve ever known or met who is knocking out *sets of* both ring and bar muscle-ups. His biggest concern this season is that they will water down the Rx gymnastics in his group and we sure hope they do not so we can see him crush those MUs!

In 25.1, after years of slanging the 50# DB, he was granted a 35# DB as Rx and a decade plus of effort was on display as he threw it around like a peanut. His warm up was something like a mile run then grab the DB and go, yet STILL, 10 minutes in Greg was in complete control, completing the set of 18 burpees in 1:00. By the buzzer, he had notched 4 DB reps into the round of 24, good for 210 reps, a top 10 finish among CFWP men, and 86% in his age group - his best event percentile since hitting 91% in 21.1 (so much history to look through, love the nostalgia!). Greg, you continue to amaze and inspire us day in and day out, and congrats on a phenomenal output in week 1!

Hope you’re all excited for 25.2 tomorrow, normal schedule til heats of FNL starting at 415pm - sign up will post 8am tomorrow for that! #crossfitwashpark #cfwpfamily #betterthanyesterday #trusttheprocess

Cabo. Few things went according to plan but still plenty of smiles through the week nonetheless. Truly grateful for some quality time with wonderful friends. ♥️

It was a beautiful day for the first GE athlete meet-up yesterday ☀️ As we grow in size, our goals include continuing to foster community vibes. This was a chance for our coaching athletes to come together and get to know one another- to find training buddies, travel buddies, and just flat out support one another! More meet-ups in the future for everyone who wasn’t able to make it 👌
.
Interested in joining the community? Coaches @markmarzen and @gdorn.dpt are still actively taking on new clients!

This weekend was a real #PartyPace vibe!

Every year I spend weeks dreading this day as it approaches before ultimately realizing that spending it alone and unacknowledged also isn’t ideal.

Thankfully I have wonderful friends who allow me to be a curmudgeon for two months and then answer the last minute call to show up and help celebrate in some wacky ways. I’m a very lucky gal. ♥️

What a way to cap off #PartyPaceSummer!

September isn’t always my favorite month but this year it will be hard to beat. Weddings and races connected me with some of my favorite people and places and I feel so thankful that I get to celebrate such a range of accomplishments with my amazing humans.

Bring on #PartyPaceFall!

Beyond fortunate to have a crew of people who are down to dress silly and run up and down a hill a few times (or volunteer to capture these shenanigans from behind the 📸 @erin__neil)

Y’all keep me laughing, grounded, and accountable. Thank you 💛
